This is the only building firm which I could ever, hand on heart, recommend and know that you won’t be disappointed. They built a new extension for us and completely refurbed an old extension. I couldn’t be more pleased with the results, which have transformed our house. The standard of work is very high and the staff who work for the firm are unfailingly; polite, clean and tidy and a real pleasure to have working on your house. Steve Friend, the owner, is professional and efficient.

We've had a garage conversion done, the guys started just before Christmas and, just 4 weeks' work later, all the planned work is done - despite the first 2 weeks being done in sub-zero temperatures (James really suffered!)The final result is better than we could have imagined, and we'll be using the guys to fit the utility once we've figured out what we want!Steve is very easy to deal with, and everybody that came to work on the job was considerate, professional and efficient.Our job was complicated by needing to keep an electric feed to a garden office going; and the electrician was able to plan around that so I could keep working.We'll definitely consider using the guys again for anything that we do in the future, and we'd definitely recommend them.

We had Lexden builders do a large amount of work at our house, complete rip out and replace if the kitchen, bathroom plus other rooms being plastered and decorated. The work was completed to a very good standard and they are very professional, we are very happy with the finished product, they worked well with changes to plans due to challenges discovered during the work and plans that we changed ourselves. We will happily use Lexden builders again for future projects.

You will see progress every single day.Steve and his team have knocked through a kitchen and living area for us, and completed everything to time, and with great attention to detail. This included installing a new kitchen and appliances, 2 steel girders, removing and replacing an asbestos ceiling, lighting, electrics, plumbing, new radiators, flooring, plastering, decorating, new skirting boards and architraving, and even renovated a small downstairs bathroom as an extra while they were here!Nothing is too much trouble, communication from Day 1 is excellent, clear up afterwards is included, and if you are lucky enough to have James work on your project every day you will not be disappointed.We have never had service like this before in our 30+ years of home ownership and will now never use anybody else.Thank you so much Lexden Builders!

I have had plastering work done by Lexden Builders Ltd in the past and have always been very pleased with their attention to detail, hard work and friendly manner. So when I needed my elderly relative’s house restored, as it was rather run down, I had no hesitation in asking Lexden Builders Ltd to do the work. They exceeded all expectation as the house was transformed after four weeks to an amazingly beautiful home. The kitchen was replaced, electrics updated, cracks in the walls and ceilings repaired and the entire house was redecorated to perfection. All the workers turned up exactly on time and worked solidly throughout the day. They were not only polite and friendly but they worked to a very high level of craftsmanship.I would definitely recommend Lexden Builders Ltd and hope to contact Steve Friend again in the near future to transform our house next!
