Rookby Scarth Nearly Wild Camping

Rang to book a pith and it was full . However viv still let me come and park there for the night . Upon arrival she gave me a cracking little spot wich I enjoyed very much . Nice and friendly and a nice place 5 stars

Don't want to review it as I want to keep it secret for myself but that's not fair on the amazing owner Viv! Beautiful views, peaceful rural camp site. Be aware this is wild camping so apart from a compost loo there are no facilities. Just nature and that's fine by me! The owner goes out of her way to accommodate you and the price is great. My go to place when I need to recharge my batteries.

Superb set up. Viv was ace. Don't expect anything other than absolutely nothing ( you do get a fab, own use, mini compost toilet) It's safe, wild camping. We felt safe because we were on someone's land but got to experience the joy of wild camping.Beautiful views and complete silence.You need to pre book which is easy through pitch up or by ringing or email them direct.* As a side note. No body should give a 1 star review just because they couldn't find a way to contact them.

Had a great stay camping here, would recommend to anyone. Silent nights with very little noise pollution. Lovely owners and fair pricing!

Rode to this site in spec. Says on gate strickly prebook only. Gone back to listing but no phone number, no email address and no other contact info.Additional....Thank you for replying to my review. I leave my reviews for other people so they don't make the same mistakes I did it is not intended to bash your business but people look at a 1 star review to see why it's been given 1 star.I see now that you have added a comment which is at the top of the review page which states strictly pre-book which I am guessing is a newish addition.I will add, in my defence, that I remember phoning the number off the site on Google for your campsite several times but no one answered so decided to chance it and just ride up.If you can reply to this so that I know that you've seen so I can remove my review.All the best with your business it sounds from the other reviews like it's a lovely place to stay.RegardsShaun.
