Dovestone Sailing Club
Great location for walking or cycling. You can walk around the reservoir in about 45 minutes along a well maintained footpath .There are toilets near the car park.For those who enjoy a more physical hike, there is a path which takes you to the top .

Idyllic water park for dinghy sailing in national trust area. Due to hot summer of 2018 water levels depleted so sailors waiting on the rain.

Dovestone Sailing Club
One of several sailing clubs in and around the reservoirs of the South Pennines.You need to join as a member to sail, and the club offers some taster sessions, in addition to training courses RYA level 1 and 2.You can go along to watch. Races are timetabled (summer time), on Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoon.There is also a club house for members and guests. Tends towards elitism and priority of racing rather than leisure.

Beautiful place for nature lovers, good hiking place, sailing place, picnic spot, depends when are you going, as we went in October, it was quiet chilly, but not rainy luckily, we enjoyed a lot
