Halfords Retail Store - Swindon

I had gone in to Halfords wanting my tyres checked. I was offered a free 10 point check within minutes. Layla was brilliant and so helpful in answering my questions and carried out thorough checks for me. I was very reassured with the whole process and would highly recommend the friendly and efficient service at this Halfords service centre. Thank you.

Excellent service. Turned up to enquire about a car battery following a breakdown, had it on stock and fitted within 10 mins. Knowledgeable staff, very impressed.

Great service, helpful staff and knowledgeable. I joined the motoring club and had a 15 point check on my car and they changed a head light. Always great service at the store in my experience.

I want to say upfront that the staff at Halfords Swindon were nothing but helpful, and the store manager Matthew was very knowledgeable and dedicated to solving my problem. Can't say a bad word about him.But Halfords as a company really sucks the big one.I ordered an all-in-one roof bar kit from the website using their number plate search to make sure it would fit. The kit arrived with the wrong contents - the brackets did not fit my car and there were extra/missing parts that did not match the included instructions. I tried to call Swindon, as that's my nearest store, but as the switchbot cheerfully informed me, it's impossible to speak directly to a store colleague and I was transferred to an Indian call centre worker. She advised me that this kit was not suitable for my car (lie) and to go into a store and pay £20 to have the bars fitted by someone who knows what they're doing". Firstly

Waited 30 mins for bulb to be fitted. There was 2 technicians one was following the other one about chatting. One of them could have done it right away. Bit odd.

We’ve rushed to the store this evening, after jumping the car to by a battery. It was very late, 12 minutes before closing and then asked to get a battery fitted. Fully knowing they go home at 8pm the first member of staff was reluctant to do anything, the manager prompted him but I think he may of been ready to go home. About to leave disappointed the manager said he had another member of staff JACK that was prepared to go the extra mile.Wow! A complete credit to the company and standing well above other jobs worthy staff members. He fitted it and waved us off in less than 6 minutes.The lad deserves a pay rise for the commitment offered and exemplary performance. Thank you very much indeed Jack.

Brilliant - arrived just before 08.30 Saturday morning - served immediately by a professional young lady who immediately retrieved the correct wiper blades from stock. Good price (cheaper than the web site suggested), fitted within 10 minutes - left the store carpark at 08.40 - job done - fantastic.

No point booking an appointment, apparently that means nothing, it’s first come first served. Waited 30 mins past my appointment time. Technician didn’t speak to me at all until he was finished and asked me to start the car. Terrible service, will never use again.

I came in to buy replacement wheel hub caps and paid the small extra amount to have them fitted. At the till I was asked if I would like a FREE 5 point car health check, to which I agreed. The gentleman who did this was Gavin and I discovered the engine oil was dangerously low - really low!He let me know Mobil were doing a half price offer on engine oil which saved me money.I asked for help with choosing a DashCam and Gavin was very knowledgeable and gave sound advice. Am grateful for his excellent Customer Service! Will definitely recommend Halfords to others

I bought a child's bike for my granddaughter. There was a reasonable selection to choose from, sizes, styles, colours etc, and the staff were very friendly and helpful (though it took quite a time to navigate some new features in their computer system!) They charge £10 to build and safety test the bike, I was glad of this as if it came flat packed I would never be able to assemble it properly. I bought accessories such as helmet, bell etc at the same time.
