Terrible experience, useless staff who can't answer questions and just read from scripts like robots. In the pocket of the LA pushing mediation instead of tribunal. Did not adhere to timescale of 30 days for mediation on two separate occasions. Delays and repeated calls to get a mediation certificate which could have been auto generated and provided in seconds during the call.

This is very concerning if this service is publically funded. First off there should be an option for no stars. There is a strong emphasis to go through this service, but be warned, you will find yourself having to chase up progress. This service is hugely disappointing given you are already having to deal with other complexities, you would hope that at least one entity on the process was efficient!!

*UPDATE TO REVIEW*Well, after the debacle I experienced trying to get a mediation certificate issued, things didn’t get any better.We have since had mediation twice with this company. Both times the mediators demonstrated bias towards the LA.After the second mediation, one of the LA attendees raised a complaint about me requesting that a comment about them leaving the meeting early be included in the minutes.The person in question - the only person in attendance who had been in the panel that refused my child an EHCP - left the meeting without warning, 30 minutes into a 2 hour meeting, when I still had queries that only she could answer.The investigation of this has predictably been found in favour of the LA. Apparently Global mediation have absolutely no problem with allowing someone who did not attend the full meeting to lie by agreeing to outcomes that she wasn’t actually there to discuss. However, they do have a problem with me requesting that comment is passed upon this.Can one draw any other conclusion than they are biased towards the people who hold the contract??!!??Original review:Useless…they are supposed to call you back within 3 working days. 6 working days and 3 phone calls later, I still haven’t received a call back from the mediation team and the admin person who answered the phone today was simply useless, he had no idea what to say, long silences at his end where an appropriate response should have been.This is a disgusting way to treat a SEN parent. What a pity this company has the contract for SEN mediation and I have no other options.

After initial contact after being declined for my sons ehcp assessment. I had to wait a couple of weeks for a returned call, with a couple calls to explain I needed urgent help.Every call that was taken I had a lovely, kind, understanding human helping and reassuring me.Today I finally got my call. Had a very helpful and insightful lady call me called Chantelle. She was lovely, understanding and supportive. I genuinely sighed a breath a relief when she said the words, don't worry we have got this. I'm in their hands now. I can relax and await their call back after they have heard back from the council. Phew. Thank you so much. I'm sad we have to work together to fight but glad I have you to assist.Thank you for helping me and my son

Contact was always prompt and clear. However they were unable to provide the mediation, which was the service expected. This may have been out of their control, which has delayed the process we are going through by one month for no benefit.

Unhelpful staff on the phone, man spoke down to me on a few occasions and was unsupportive and had poor phone customer service. They just read as if from a book and don't care.The call kept going silent on occasions due to poor connection there side aparently.

Mediator was helpful when she finally called back. However trying to get a mediation certificate was a nightmare. Calls are taken by admin staff, who pay lip service but cannot help. They continually told me that it takes 5 working days to speak to someone to obtain a certificate. It took almost 3 weeks - 12 working days and having to call multiple times each day to get a response. You can't even make a formal complaint to the organisation. The call handler simply undertakes to email someone and no one returns your call. Very disappointed and very stressful

Absolutely useless all you get is someone saying they are admin and unable to put you through to anyone. all you will be told is they will send a message to the relevant department asking to call back. In 4 weeks and 5 calls to them I have not received one call back.This is a zero star review.
