B&Q Huddersfield

Has pretty much got what I need ! But to be honest I'm a screwfix person as its within walking distance for me , but still very useful apart from lack of staff on the floor working and knowing what products they have in there section! They shoul have a specialist down each Isle as I ended up asking one of the security guards to help me out and he seemed to know more than the staff .

I asked three members of staff for assistance and none of them were able to help me, I was told someone would come and advise me but after 20 minutes I just gave up. On my way out I tried to get the attention of another staff member, she just turned away and walked off. Will not be going back.

It was very quiet. Noticed that quite a few motorists still persist in driving in straight down the exit lane. There will no doubt be a serious pedestrian accident unfortunately.

Very helpful staff, checked on stock we were interested in buying.

Visited on a Sunday morning, supposed to open at 10am, got there at 945 to find them already open, also customer toilets very clean, everything I needed to buy was there and staff on hand to help.

Staff very helpful. I needed some decking planks cutting and and apparently they couldn't be done in the machine so a very helpful member of staff called Richard cut them for me by hand, very obliging and courteous.

Quite well stocked and store is kept clean and tidy. Got almost everything I needed, no bar codes on a couple of items but staff were able to sort it out with no problems. Very helpful at the checkout. I say almost everything I needed, one item I couldn't get was paint brush restorer liquid. Only a part bottle on the shelf which will never be sold and therefore computer will always show one in stock. Otherwise all good. Should have gone on wednesday to get 10% off. My bad.

Someone needs to instill some common courtesy and manners in to Dawd" at B&Q in Huddersfield.Absolutely pig ignorant service when my mum was being served by him on the till this afternoon.No manners

Should be a ZERO star rating. Bought a real pot-grown Xmas tree from store last week. Followed the store’s advice - left it outside to acclimatise before taking it inside to decorate. After 2 days it started to die and had dropped all it’s needles making a huge mess all over the living room floor (tree was nowhere near a radiator, central heating hadn’t been on once and we made sure it was watered sufficiently).So, I returned to store with some photos and explained the situation only to be told I would have to return the disgrace of a tree to store “as per company policy.” When I asked to speak to the store manager to see if there was an alternative option after voicing my concerns about the mess it would make in my car. I was met by rude and obnoxious Matt (store manager) who simply repeated what his colleague had already said. When I told him my concern about it making a mess in my car I was told “that’s not my problem, it’s your responsibility to keep your car clean and tidy.” Then when I asked if there was a spare piece of tarp or other material I could wrap the tree in, I was told “we don’t have to provide you with anything to wrap it in”At no point did this so-called “manager” even try to manage my experience. Absolutely no empathy, no apology, no leniency, no discretion used. I’ve been a manager in retail for 10 years - Sometimes you just have to put yourself in your customers shoes and make the right decision - this guy simply couldn’t be bothered.Finally managed to get a refund after driving home reluctantly before driving back with the dead tree in my boot. Spent the following hour vacuuming pine needles out of my car and cleaning up spilt soil.Merry Xmas Matt - Thanks for nothing.
