Hide has just been revamped and is in excellent condition. It is a good location and I saw Gerylag geese, a hare & a common gull in 40 min on a cool pm with gentle breeze. Would have loved to have seen the Osprey, but maybe he is on his way back to Africa again.

Nice hide with good view across Loch Shin. Path can get slightly overgrown. Walk down from car park, through a pedestrian gate and then branch left at a junction to get to hide (walking straight on takes you to the Loch edge). Good views of wintering hen harrier, plus ospreys fishing in summer.

Cracking place to go on a summer evening, and this location never disappoints. However, on my last visit the hide itself has fallen into disrepair with the wooden window shutters completely removing themselves from their hinges. The wood being totally rotten. Wouldn't take a lot to bring it back up to spec, just a little TLC. Needs more wildlife as well.
