Le Monde Hotel
We held a private party in Dirty Martini and could not have asked for a better experience! The staff, both those on duty on the night and in the lead up to the event, were unfailingly helpful and polite. We received so many compliments about the venue from our guests in terms of its central location, size, the glamorous decor and the delicious buffet. The DJ was outstanding too. All in all, a wonderful setting with service to match!

We didn’t use the hotel, so can’t comment on the rooms. We did however use the dining room/bar and enjoyed it immensely! Delightful ambiance and great service. My favourite part was the volume of the music. There are very few places that I feel I can go and have a conversation with someone. As someone who suffers from chronic tinnitus, Le Monde is one place I can go because the music and background noise are kept low enough to allow an intimate, private conversation without struggling to hear. The person who introduced me to Le Monde has a similar hearing challenge and that was one of their principal reasons for going there as well. The prices and selection are quite good as well.

We booked the Tokyo room and it was absolutely beautiful. We arrived a few days after getting married and the staff were brilliant with us. The boozy brunch is a must. Not only great value but the food and drinks were delicious. Genuinely now looking for an excuse for another stay.

The studio was great! It felt luxurious and clean. The bathroom was huge and felt spa like. Great amenities including the coffee machine. Reception held on to our luggage until we could check in, which was much appreciated. Would stay again.

We had a truly wonderful experience with the team celebrating my sister’s baby shower. The service was excellent. Nicola and team were very attentive and made the day go perfectly. Not an easy task with 25 women! Can’t recommend enough. The food was lovely and extremely grateful catering for dairy & gluten free. The drink selection was wonderful with amazing cocktails. Great choice for the non alcoholic drinkers too. Thank you again!

I celebrated my 30th birthday here one Saturday evening in December and booked the Gallery area near the main bar for the event. The area was perfect for the occasion and the team were faultless in helping me organise and deliver the event including taking deliveries of the bespoke cake I had ordered. The Christmas finger buffet was lovely and they have a wide selection of drinks and packages to pick from. The club below (Shanghai) is very conveniently located for an after party even if the usual crowd can be a bit adolescent. I wouldn't hesitate to host an event here again. My only point for improvement is the team could track the tab better when you've opened one and come let you know when it's finished rather than finding out at the bar upon ordering drinks. We would have liked the opportunity to top it up for our guests. However it is a wonderful venue and very plush decor!

This is an excellent hotel in the centre of Edinburgh. I'll be clear now that there is some noise from the nightlife in the streets immediately surrounding the hotel, though it was muffled by the double glazing. If you need silence to sleep, look elsewhere. For its location I think the noise levels were not silly. The staff were excellent throughout my stay and the rooms are clean and well specified. Perhaps if I'm picky there's some signs of wear and tear but these are minor. Breakfast is very good indeed, and good value compared to some hotels in the vicinity. I would stay again, and I really must commend the service as first rate, friendly and genuinely helpful.

We decided to invite our 60 guests to a reception at Le Monde’s Champagne Bar after our wee wedding at the City Chambers. It was such a fun and stress-free celebration. The space is beautifully decorated and well-suited for such a gathering. The semi-private setup was perfect — it felt intimate, included our own stylish bar, and the proximity to the open areas wasn’t a bother at all. The buffet was a hit with our guests and the restrooms were conveniently placed. As this was our legal wedding ahead of our larger celebration, we were looking for an elevated experience that didn’t break the bank. And Le Monde really delivered! Kevin and Ellie were patient with all our questions, flexible about food and drink options, and only required a modest deposit upfront. We opted to have a cash bar and the ability to do this at Le Monde ended up being a deciding factor for us. Ellie kept things running smoothly on the day — from announcing us into the room and rallying attention before speeches. She did a fabulous job, so my Husband and I could relax. I would definitely recommend the Champagne Bar for other couples considering a wee wedding or even folks hosting holiday parties, etc.

Love the world room concept. Berlin our themed room was great. Wall picture collection unique. Only negative comment. When there is an issue, staff need to provide a remedy as quickly as possible, truthfully as well as efficiently!It is a great central location so expect some disturbances however the nightclub next door three times a week doesn’t close till 3 am . The comings and goings were very noisy. Rear rooms.We didn’t use the restaurant or bars but they were very popular.

The hotel is excellent. Emailed back and forth prior to visit with regards to the room set up (two rooms), and I have a disability, so there was another couple of things I needed. Absolutely no problem for them to be arranged. Room comfortable, heating great, amazing rain fall shower.Restaurant is lovely, but it would appear they have a few staffing issues (the same everywhere). Some staff seemed very new, staff sickness, etc. be patient with them. They’re all trying hard to accommodate the influx of visitors. Thanks LeMonde. We’ll be visiting again ☺️
