PureGym London Swiss Cottage

Very poor maintenance especially since the price is almost £50! Stinks of B/O the second you enter (before the coded doors at the front). The smell migrates throughout out the gym and you don't even want to know of the odors coming from the changing rooms/toilets, repugnant is an understatement!! The gym floor is like walking into a school playground full of groups of adolescents, only thing missing from this joke of a place is spray paint stand and a cocktail bar for the delinquents and those who think they're in Ibiza. Seriously get this sorted daylight robbery at the very least. Going into a filthy/smelly alleyway is the equivalent to this puregym branch, only difference is its free!! Don't bother joining, no staff ever on sight and if there is one or two they sit there chatting instead of fixing the broken machines which have been out of service since the summer.

Very spacious gym with great brand new equipment and a good selection of classes. A major advantage is having the gym open 24/7.

Gym is pretty ok but there’s constantly some sort of mess and no one to clean it. Last week there was blood all over the disabled bathroom and I searched on each floor for staff and there was no one there. There’s no way to contact the gym so I reached out on Twitter but it’s a robot on the other end so no one responded properly. Today there is tissues and bottles all over the treadmills. I get it’s a budget gym but there should be a way to reach out to staff about problems if there isn’t going to be anyone in the building available. Additionally, the women’s bathrooms and showers always seem to be broken.

For a newly built gym which is spacious and has a respectable amount of equipment, the management should be ashamed by how poorly maintained this gym is. Staff members are rude and the culture within the gym is not great, it tends to get very busy and members hoard alot of the equipment.The biggest issue by far is how dirty the bathroom and showers are, there is an awful smell coming from the drains, black mould in the sealant and always pubic hairs all over the floor of every shower. It is beyond me how any of the staff working here believe this is acceptable.

For a newly built gym the management should be ashamed of our poorly this gym is being run and maintained.The ladies' locker room stinks and toilets are always dirty. There is never toilet paper and you always have to ask to some of the rudest staff I have seen at pure gym. One day they overfload and the day after they are locked. Yesterday the room was locked altogether with no notice. I have travelled to get there to find out that the locker room was inaccessible and we should use the tiny lockers on the groundfloor. As the gym was massively overcrowded by teenages hoarding multiple machines and the lockers were all taken, me and 6 more people were forced to leave.I feel I should be refunded for my membership. Shame!

Despite all the equipment and space this gym is always overcrowded. Had people try to bully me off the machine in the middle of a set. One occasion, noticed equipment was vacant and I looked around to make sure no one was using it. As I was jumping on, a man repeatedly said “I’m using that!”. He was in fact hoarding two machines whilst taking a break. I had enough and quit my workout right there. People witnessed it and said nothing. As I left, I looked over my shoulder and he still wasn’t using the machine!I have not met any of the staff, however I witness one vacuuming the spinning room for almost 30mins. A client was in the middle of her workout and this member of staff kept going around her like she did it purpose. Meanwhile, the ladies locker room is always dirty with sanitary facilities overflowing. Fifty percent of clients are serious and the rest are using the place as their pick up joint and messing around. Negative vibe.

2 out of 4 of their stairmasters have been “out of order” for months! There are only 2 working stairmasters so you always have to wait in line to use them and it doesn’t seem any steps have been taken to fix the other two stair masters over the last few months. Cleaning supplies are also scarce and the gym could definitely benefit from additional cleanings, not very hygienic. Please fix those two stairmasters, we’ve been waiting for months!!

Women's toilets at the Pure Gym in Swiss Cottage are always DISGUSTING! They are always dirty, smelly, and/or out of service. Honestly, the quality of the experience here has been a nightmare because of that.

No cleaning sprays anywhere around the floors, no staff circulating the floors, equipments not well adjusted, a lot to be done, please also put some signs for people to stop playing with their phones while on equipments , had to wait forever for several equipments while people where on their phones instead of working out.It’s a really good gym but still a lot to improve.

This is the most dirty place I have ever been, don’t understand how they can have a shower with no cleaners on a weekend at all?? They don’t follow any health and safety regulations and will be reported as this is not how gyms should be run in in London these days! Any public places like gyms must have a cleaner on board and premises must be cleaned few times a day! Especially in a place which runs 24/7, 7 days a week. I am disscussed by the smell and the dirt in womens changing room especially! The manager I would recommend to read the gym and health clubs dirty enviroment rights, health and safety regulations at first. How this gym can run under these circumstances?!
