I have always lived an active lifestyle, but having more ‘formal’ training since May 2023 has helped me work towards my goals of gaining weight and strength after a period of being unwell. I was initially very nervous about getting a personal trainer as I find it difficult to open up to others, but as soon as I met Dan, I felt comfortable and relaxed. He is very approachable and friendly, yet sensitive to your needs. Dan has made a conscious effort to get to know me and my general lifestyle and considers this in planning sessions.Personal training sessions have developed my knowledge of resistance training. Dan clearly explains each exercise and is always happy to demonstrate when I forget, which is very often. Dan provides a clear rationale of why we are doing a particular exercise and welcomes any questions, no matter how small. I really enjoy my sessions with Dan: they’re fun and are something I look forward to in my day. Without this support, I would not have had the confidence to train in the gym.In addition to consistent improvements in my weight and strength goals over the last 12 weeks—where I am now able to lift almost the equivalent of my body weight in working sets with good form when performing Barbell Hip Thrusts—my mobility has improved, and the mental health benefits have been immeasurable. My sleep and appetite have been more consistent since training consistently, which has had a knock-on effect on my general quality of life.I have no hesitation in recommending Dan to others, and I look forward to continuing to train with him!

I have been training with Dan for the past year and a half on a weekly basis and could not be happier with my choice of PT! My goal was to gain some strength and lose some baby weight and I have come a long way since starting. The sessions are relaxed and motivating and I have been able to carry on at my own pace with a lot of support from Dan. He is also able to provide me with a lot of nutritional guidance and exercise adaptations so I can continue working out in whatever setting I am in. Thank you Dan!

I have been training with Dan for the past 11 months and he always makes the PT sessions varied and fun, tailoring the exercises to your personal goals. Dan not only does resistance training, but also various cardio/circuits and also kick-boxing which is great fun :)He is pro-active and will research exercises if there is a particular mobility or strength issue. For example, during the last 11 months we have both focussed on a weak shoulder issue and helped with training for a 100km walk. Dan is very knowledgeable about each exercise and the impact it has on muscle groups, and is open to you asking any questions.Since training with Dan, I feel more confident in the gym, and my knowledge and technique in resistance training have improved massively. I understand more about nutrition, my strength and mobility have both improved, and I really enjoy the variety of each session, given the exercises are refreshed on a regular basis so you can try something new.Dan is professional and very patient, but always down-to earth and easy to talk to within sessions. I would absolutely recommend Dan as a personal trainer, whether a beginner or looking for more advanced support.

Before starting my training with Dan (DHM Coaching) I was overweight, plagued with low energy, and had little muscular definition.Like many gym goers, losing weight was the primary goal, andsince training with DHM I have lost 5KG helped by Dan's nutrition suggestions and targeting areas that needed work.With regards, to muscle definition, my arms are more defined, my chest is firmer, and the shocker for me is seeing muscles in my back. Never knew I had them but my wife is loving it. ;)Equally surprising is finding out that my posture has improved. I am now sitting upright with absolutely no more tension in my back. I even feel taller.What sets Dan apart from other trainers is that he tailored his approach to me. He is extremely proactive. My goal was to tone and build muscle and Dan created a personalised plan to help me achieve just that. He talked through all the exercises, explaining the benefit of each one and tailored it to my ability. He also offered advice on nutrition and ensured that my gym plan was sustainable and most importantly, achievable. I’d say I was active and thought I knew what I was doing before he came on as my PT but his coaching and sessions have completely changed how I would train for the better. I’ve achieved more in this short space of time than my previous 6 months at the gym which I believe is a huge testament to his knowledge and expertise. 10/10 would recommend.

I started to work with Dan, due to the fact that i had lost my confidence going to the gym after covid and like many other people had gain weight during that time.My primary goal was to lose weight. Dan was really helped me, he created a personalised plan for me and helped me gain confidence in using a variety of different equipment.He kept each session interesting and ensured that i stayed motivated. He provided alot of information and guidance.I would recommend him to anyone who is interested in developing good habits and achieving their goals when it comes to their fitnessDan has been great and continued to support me when i had to stop my PT sessions due to work commitments.

Started working with Dan after never really having done any training or been to the gym before. I wanted to work with a PT to learn the ropes of what I needed to be working on, get into good habits and routines and to have some accountability.I've now been working with Dan for over a year and have not only lost weight and built muscle in that time but also now feel like I have the tools to take more ownership of my own fitness. He really knows his stuff. Would recommend!
