Our dining experience here was superb and the three courses were well worth the price. We chose a bottle of Chablis which perfectly complemented the dishes we ate.The scallop that was part of my starter was the best I've ever tasted and every course was perfection. The pineapple dessert with mini 'doughnuts' was unexpected and divine.Excellent food and wonderful warm, friendly and unpretentious service is one thing, but the sunset view over stunning Uig Sands combined to result in a truly unforgettable meal.3 courses for us both and a decent bottle of wine came in at £200, which for a special meal whilst on holiday, we thought was well worth it.When we return to Lewis & Harris we'll absolutely dine at Uig Sands Restaurant again.

Wonderful meal overlooking Uig Sands. The menu is fixed price with choices for starters, main and dessert. The food is very creative and super tasty without being pretentious. Highly recommend it.

The food is secondary to its location and view which is amazing and blows you away. The food was lovely but the view makes it super special. James(?) gave us super service and was lovely to chat to, especially as he came from the potteries originally where we came from, he helped everyone join in with others convos so you were able to make a lovely evening in the company of others (strangers). Everyone must go.

I must give both the restaurant and the room that I was staying in during my 2 day visit an outstanding review. The restaurant: The food was delicious with a vegetarian tasting menu that was varied and unique. I only stayed 2 evenings and dined here both nights, with different choices each evening. Very, very good. And the individuals working there were so down to earth and friendly. As a lone traveler, I was treated with as much respect and attention as the table of 8 across the room, even though I obviously would not be spending near the amount of money as they were. Cannot give enough compliments to everyone and everything about my dining experience on both evenings. The room: I was a tiny bit apprehensive when we pulled up and my driver was unloading my luggage. The area is very remote. Which I intentionally booked because of the remote location but REMOTE in this case, is a slight understatement. And, the walk from the accommodations to the restaurant, is a bit longer than anticipated as you must use the road to ensure a safe walk to the restaurant and back, due to the somewhat treacherous landscape surrounding the area. ALL of that said, it was PERFECT. Once I settled into the fact that I could easily and safely walk to the restaurant, by myself, as I was on a solo travel adventure, I relaxed and enjoyed the stunning beauty. There is a little convenience store within walking distance. I did not have a car so I asked my driver to stop so that I could pick ups some treats for breakfast, as well as a bottle of wine. They have many variaties of De-alcoholized wine available. I settled on a delicious bottle of Lindeman's Alcohol Free Semillon Chardonnay, which was quite delicious, and some yummy chocolate chip shortbread cookies and strong coffee for my breakfast. My evenings on the patio, and my breakfasts in the morning were amazing and just what I was desiring and needed. The views, room and amazing stars at night were incomparable.I highly recommend both the rooms and the restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

The view is to die for. Dinner was great 5/5 for the amuse bouches, starter and dessert, 4/5 for our mains. The staff offered to let us stay overnight in the camper in their car park which was lovely and helpful.

We dined here last night as an early birthday meal for my husband. The location is stunning and despite the weather, it was still a great and interesting view from the table. The food was probably the best we have eaten all year, the smoked salmon starter was fantastic, the scallops main course on special was phenomenal and the lamb dish also great. Desserts felt a little underwhelming compared to the starters and mains, they were still very good but one complaint would be the popcorn served with the “donuts” was slightly burnt and the taste was then overpowering. Despite this I would still return even at the price of £75pp. I did feel the drinks prices were slightly off, £9.50 for a single gin and bottle of tonic water is very steep, I don’t think the prices should be so high when the meal is already on the pricey side.

My mum and I had a reservation for dinner tonight. Greeted with a warm welcome. James was our server for the evening, he was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was tremendous, so flavoursome and more-ish! Everything was cooked to perfection. I had the coconut and like doughnuts for desert, which I highly recommend. Wonderful to round off a great evening. The views are stunning also. This place is a gem.

Uig Sands is a lovely place to eat out. The location is stunning. Food is good but not amazing. Menu limited. Not a place to take children. The menu is way over priced.

I want to thank all the staff that ensured we had the most special time at Uig Sands. I had just proposed to my fiance about an hour before arriving and they couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. We hadn't planned on staying as we didn't realise they had accommodation but the manager organised a room for us very last minute. The food, accommodation and location are out of this world.
