City Glass

AVOID!We purchased a glass table topper from Dougie at City Glass. After placing it on our dining table within a week there was a spontaneous crack in the corner. Absolutely nothing had hit it or had been placed on that side of the table as there's just the two of us and it's the corner we don't use.We contacted Dougie instantly to say that there was a crack within 5 days. He was initially very surprised in his tone of voice that a crack had already developed and he kindly said that he would get someone to have a look at it. Eventually we arranged a date and time for someone to look at the table.We waited for them but they never arrived. We called Dougie and he suddenly changed his tone and his mind about the table. He became defensive and said it was placed on the table and not their fault and they were not coming round and hung up the phone. Very unprofessional and rude. We have had our concerns dismissed and are now £90 out of our pockets.Granted, they are one of the cheapest options in the Leicester area however the quality of their product and customer service is absolutely abysmal. Definitely worth spending a little extra with the more reputable glass companies who produce better quality products.

Was meant to return with a quotation for my fogged up glass replacements, never bothered calling me back. The chap who came to assess really seemed to struggle with even the measuring up of the windows! Yikes!

Great service and good price. Really helped me worked out exactly what I needed and couldn't have been more helpful.

Dougie was rude and unprofessional after failing to acknowledge that he had done the job of replacing a pane of glass so badly that it appeared to look like a child had replaced it. He had time to assess the job , however , he did not even bother to mitre the beading , nor apply sufficient putty to hold the pane. I had to pay someone else to do it properly .No apology , no acknowledgement of his failing , no refund.Use at your own peril.

30 different size cuts,very helpful and please to deal with.

I believe it is a very good place for glass items in Leicester but my personal experience was that it was difficult to contact them to see thru products
