Ghyll House Farm CC CL

Lovely working livestock farm run by lovely family. We left our Campervan there for a week while we cycled the Hadrian's Cycleway and returned west via the Reivers Cycleway.Nice area, not far from the M6, good pub food just up the road.

Excellent Caravan and Motorhome Club Certificated Location with pitches for 5 caravans on a working farm and run by the lovely Margaret. Hard standings available for when the beautifully kept field is a bit wet. Visited in March at the peak of lambing season so we were surrounded by new born lambs! Too tip: book the indoor hot tub for a relaxing treat! Also, lots of walks direct from the site. Best CL ever, this was our third visit and we'll definitely be back.

Just left the CL after a wonderful stay of 3 nights. The location is ideal for 'get away from it all' but close enough to civilisation for shopping experiences. Close to the Lake District attractions and Hadrian’s Wall so plenty to do there but the local area holds the real gems to visit. Dalston not too far away is beautiful and the local pub in Wreay is walking distance from the site.The pitches are spacious and flat. Water, grey waste and CDP all excellent as is the power supply. Wonderful welcome from Margret and plenty of entertainment with animals to watch and the ingenious water slide on the hill. Met lots of really friendly fellow members and had thoroughly brilliant time in what must have been the hottest part of the year so far. Many thanks to Margret. See you again soon.

Stayed 4 nights here and loved it. Such an idyllic country spot. Simple amenities, shower, toilet, electricity hook up, water and waste disposal. Margaret and Tom are very nice friendly owners and the farm is really well kept. Now don't forget, the Plough Inn pub is only half a mile up the lane. Enjoy.

What a wonderful quiet, peaceful rural setting. Margaret the owner is lovely, friendly and so funny (comical) to talk to.Lovely clean facilities with disabled toilet.We will definately be back. She also tried to help us with directions......Yes Margaret we still got lost!!!! Right at side of railway line, even got to see a steam train half an hour after we got settled in. .

Peaceful and relaxing stopover. Pub short walk away. Lovely to be in a working farm and apreciate the hard work that goes into it every day, all day.

Nice little CL type site on a level field and a short walk to an really nice pub up a steep hill from the site.It's close to the M6 motorway and not far from Carlisle. TV reception is fair as is 4g data signal.
