Edinburgh Roof Company

Do not use this company. I initially hired them to install a new velux in our box room 8 months ago and the job is still not complete despite almost the full balance being paid.They installed a solar instead of mains powered window (which was what we had asked for and been quoted for) but have left holes in the wall and live electrical wires coming out the wall. As a result we have not been able to decorate or use this room for 8 months (this is my sons bedroom). Despite repeated attempts to contact via phone, email and their website they have not corrected this. They were also supposed to install a blind which has not happened.- When fitting the control panel for the window I was told someone would be out on numerous different days with no one appearing with no explanation of why or rescheduling until I contacted them. When someone did eventually appear on two separate occasions they did not know how to do the job and I had to wait in several more times before someone finally came who could.- While fitting the window they caused damage to floors and walls throughout our flat as they didn’t take simple precautions eg working with door closed, using floor coverings despite this being a very messy job.The whole experience with the edinburgh roof company has been disappointing and upsetting and left us several hundred pounds out of pocket.

I had a leak on both chimneys on our new house and Daryl responded quickly efficiently and was very good value- extremely competitiveI really appreciated the clear explanation of what was was wrong and what was required -he delivered this in a friendly non-patronising wayHe did the repairs with lead during really awful weather conditions, was constantly good humoured and I got detailed updates- Bad weather did not phase him.I would have no hesitation in recommending this company and would be happy to share more detail or recommendation

They replaced my garage roof and now it looks amazing! They are a very hard-working team of roofers who get stuck in and get the job finished. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend this company. Good job!

I had a ridge bow off in extremely high winds which also damaged several slate. With a high recommendation from a close friend and a quick phone call Daryl and his team were there to efficiently sort the problem at a very reasonable price.
