Absolutely outstanding staff, really friendly and a good laugh, food is fantastic the regular customers are friendly and welcoming. The beds are fantastic the bathroom in room 1 is amazing shame the bath wasn't working but besides that I haven't got a bad thing to say! A++

Fab pub and the food was excellent. We got a snack box to share and it was more than enough for 2 of us. Really hot , fresh and very reasonably priced! Highly recommend!

Cheap and cheerful but that doesn't really do it justice. The Red Lion is a friendly and welcoming place to stay, the rooms are great and now that they serve food this the tiny pub has everything you need.

We stayed at the Red Lion and loved it. The pub had a lovely feel and great character. Our room was cosy with a big en-suite bathroom and large bath. The owners were so friendly and kind, we especially enjoyed the breakfast... best hash browns ever. I would recommend staying here, especially if you have a car since there is a car park.

This is more than just a bed in a stay over..A lovely welcoming from start to finish. It's more like a family/friends gathering then being a tourist in a new place. Once a fortnight they do a curry evening. You order they collect from a top class curry house and you all sit down to eat...it's like a Christmas meal.. very delightful, tasty hard to find better...! The room is very cosy, a massive bathroom with a giant bath..only reason for not 5stars is it's still in process of being decorated & the bath was out of order..Only 15 mins away from city centre in a quiet little village..Totally recommend this place..well worth it..

I don't know where to begin with this place..the staff were so friendly & welcoming from beginning right up to offering me a lift to the station after my visit. The bed was soo comfortable, it's a beautiful setting, with a slightly vintage feel. It's so peaceful as well which is what I wanted since I had a late night from before at a wedding.The breakfast choices were spotted on & nicely cooked fresh. It was just an amazing experience there...I would definitely stay there again & highly recommend it also...the only negative I have to say is that it's a pity i couldn't stay longer...

Called in for some food after work on Friday - ordered a Munchie Box and it was amazing! Really good value for money and lots of food with choices of dips. The food was fresh and hot and it was great everything coming together in a pizza box to enjoy with our drinks.our box had chicken wings,onion rings,chips and chicken bites. We also had garlic mushrooms . All amazing and we will definitely be back soon

A very welcoming place with friendly staff, the landlord and landlady go the extra mile to make sure your time spent at the Red Lion Tarvin is a memorable one. The pub has a friendly crowd of locals who make guests feel at home, bar food is served and this is one of the best places around to go for a good value cooked breakfast.
