Norfolk Oak

The quality of Norfolk Oak worktops are second to none. They were a pleasure to deal with from the person doing the quotations to the delivery van driver. They did what they said they would do on time.We are repeat customers and wouldn't consider going anywhere else for an oak worktop. it might be possible to get one slightly cheaper but it's not worth it.

Naked Kitchens - what a show room! If you are considering a new kitchen this is so worth a visit. Lots of different and alternative displays and options. You can tell it's superb craftsmanship.They just need to be selling our quality British lights with their quality British kitchens and not importing from India or China!

I chose to use Norfolk oak as I had seen the superb quality product and service that my daughter had received from them. I chose the 'cherry' wood worktops and was not disappointed, they look fantastic and give the kitchen a 'warm' feel with the natural variation of gold and pink hues in the wood. I was on a limited time frame for delivery and Norfolk Oak responded and delivered my worktops in time to be fitted. I have since recommended them to friends who are thinking of upgrading their kitchens.

See images for sample received and actual product.In reply to the owner's comment, I do absolutely accept that I delayed in contacting them but this was because I was actually advised they would contact me. I did explain to them by telephone and email that I had not been able to contact them myself sooner due to extremely difficult personal circumstances involving an ill family member and then their subsequent bereavement. I didn't wish to mention this in the review and so just posted the images of the order, mainly to show how it was received and how it compares to the sample.I contacted the company on the same day the order was received regarding the finish of the wood. I was told they would not be able to repair this before the fitting of my kitchen due to a backlog and they advised me to go ahead and fit the piece and they would be able to return to finish. They actually said they would contact me with a date of when they could return. I emailed them myself in February 2018 as I had not heard anything.Regarding the visit from the finisher in March 2018, I arranged the original delivery to a rental home because it was recommended by the company the wood be kept in a warm environment prior to fitting. I am sorry that I made a mistake and did not inform the company of the address change. This was due to the personal circumstances at the time mentioned above. The finisher could not contact me on the day because the company had an incorrect digit on my telephone number. The owner has said I did not respond emails, which is not the case. One email was sent on the day the finisher came to the rental address and I did not reply to it because I called the company immediately instead. They again said they would contact me with another date to attend. Which at the time I thought was kind as I had made an error. Again though unfortunately, I did not hear anything from them but was going through too much to chase them sooner myself.The instructions that I was sent with their reply of not returning are below:You can of course lightly sand back the worktop to remove some of the whitewash finish

We chose Norfolk Oak worktops after comparing them with other worktop suppliers by reading about them on the web and comparing the samples from the different manufacturers. Their sample was demonstrably better and they seemed to be a quality company so we chose them even though they were about twice the price of the competition.When our worktops arrived (there was a problem with the dimensions of our initial order (our fault) which we paid extra to have rectified) we discovered that the worktop had manufacturing defects - there were about 4 joints where the glue used to join the planks showed up as black marks. In addition one of the joins was uneven - you could feel a ridge. We contacted Norfolk Oak and sent them pictures and they took the boards back to re-sand them. This did not remove the black marks - they are still visible on our worktops and where there was a ridge there is now a slight depression (a result of their resanding?). These defects are unacceptable especially from a company that charges the premium that Norfolk Oak do.To make matters worse we received what we consider extremely poor customer service from the management. We asked for an explanation (specifically whether there were quality control steps in place and if so, what happened with our worktop). We received no response to these questions. We requested a phone call from a director but received none (we only ever spoke on the phone to the nice lady who answers the phone and in person to 2 delivery men).The whole episode cost us dearly - we were on a deadline for moving back into our property and had prioritised the completion of the kitchen and bathroom to ensure this could happen (this mattered enough for us to arrange our own collection of the worktop). Norfolk Oak were aware of this. However as a result of the above we had to find alternative accommodation at short notice for an extra 2 weeks. We also had to reschedule the building work at some cost. Our attempt to recoup any of our costs for these from Norfolk Oak failed as they pointed to the small print in their terms and conditions. They offered a circular chopping board as compensation which we declined – suggesting they find an alternative use for it,

Outstanding customer service from start to end.- we wanted a kitchen island top made from solid oak to match existing tops.We sent measurements and pictures to get the match. The team at Norfolk Oak were able to suggest the perfect product and delivered a high quality product with super finishing and great delivery service.Don't hesitate to use a highly professional business with a 'family run' attention to detail.

Excellent - The way that the guys dealt with an issue i had with one of my worktops was amazing; they very quickly brought me a new piece, refunded my purchase of the oil and i felt like they genuinely cared deeply about my situation. The actual worktop is beautiful! I would't hesitate to recommend Norfolk Oak to anyone. It's a premium brand with a premium level of service that goes with it.

I urgently needed a great looking kitchen worktop for a new beach house that was due to receive its first holiday guests in just 2 week's time. Luckily I found Norfolk Oak on Google and liked the look of the wide boards used for the Oak Super Stave worktops. I was a little sceptical that they could deliver it within 10 days, but Victoria assured me that they could and was very helpful in ensuring that the design of the details around the oven and sink were just right.The worktop arrived in perfect condition on the agreed date and a few days later, after oiling, we fitted it perfectly without any problems. Very helpful from enquiry to delivery. Delivered to a given time slot. Good quality and I love my new oak worktops. The wide blocks give it a classy look and watching the video about treating the worktops before fitting with 10 coats has resulted in us achieving a wonderful deep gloss that looks as if it is polished and it repels any water dripped on it. Thoroughly recommend them.
