I've tried so many Indian restaurants but I always come back to The Cottage. The service is top tier, the gents there all being very attentive and happy to accommodate reasonable changes or requests. But the food is obviously the main draw; it's almost always consistently delicious and generous with its portions. And the prices are very fair, at least when eating in the restaurant (takeaway is a bit expensive). The cherry on the cake is that they serve beef! I live in Rainford and this is one of the best places to eat in all of St Helens.

Visited this restaurant last night we was welcomed and seated fast, the staff made us feel wanted and welcomed we got our drinks and starters fast the food was bang on along with curry’s for mains meat was tender, chef clearly knows good Indian cooking, visited another of there relations restaurant in Blackpool and was just as good, will be back!!!

Tried this for the first time. It was OK. Food was a bit bland. Didn't appreciate the hair in our starters. Update: just noticed this place has achieved one star for hygiene.

Visited and had a fantastic meal. A superb experience. The staff here are really friendly and welcoming. The food is incredible, we had a set meal for 4 and there was enough for 8! Wouldn’t hesitate to return. 95% of the customer base is repeat custom which tells you everything you need to know
