If I could give 0 stars I would because as a company you would expect professionals and have respect. Ellie Crowder seems to like to sleep with contractors which as a company to be allowing is absolutely disgusting. They blocked me on facebook and are allowing her to sleep with contractors. I wouldn't trust her showing any man round a house or to have contact with regarding work because she clearly can't keep work separately she was too desperate. I rung the company and they blocked me this is how they deal with there staff snagging contractors. Probably doing it so they get cheaper rates so this A cleans and B cleans they use buy don't tell landlords.

Rented a student property with Lighthouse and it ended up being an unnecessarily stressful experience, that I would not recommend. Firstly, the house was dirty upon arrival, and bed completely broken and needing replacement- how was this allowed to happen and pass inspection?? Multiple other issues including the roof being unstable and told that it was at point of collapse, meaning the house should never of been rented out in the first place as was not safe to live in. Serious damp and water running down the living room walls took months to resolve after being reported, causing water to leak into electrical sockets. We had a no end of problems with our toilet, always being blocked and never really resolved. Found that reported problems were only solved after either seeking help from the student union, or by saying we will get the council involved. The staff are unprofessional and condescending, making you feel guilty and uncomfortable for reporting problems. Dan, however, who deals with the emergency and maintenance side is the only person we felt we could rely on and is amazing- thank you!

Handy Man Dan is the only person from l Lighthouse that I respect. A lovely kind man, who does exceptional work and is worth more than he probably is paid. Everyone else are inadequate at their job, ignore complaints, are rude, patronising and take advantage of students (and probably the landlords too who tenants have no way of contacting) they should be ashamed of themselves.

Lighthouse properties have been managing our property whilst we are out of the country. This is our first time renting out a property but it was made easier as they provided good guidance throughout the process. They found us a tenant and sorted out the necessary paperwork promptly and we receive good communication from them regarding any issues. We have had a minor plumbing issue which they sorted swiftly and at a very reasonable cost.

NIGHTMARE. House was dirty when we moved in, toilet was gross, rubbish left outside and garden overgrown. Constant maintenance issues which were never fully.There was damp and mould in multiple rooms that was reported in September. After months of keeping on about it multiple different people came to look, eventually we got the SU involved as the damp was getting worse.Every time we asked what was happening we were told the landlord wanted more quotes, in February roofers came to fix the guttering and a leak that we had, we were then told our kitchen ceiling was unsafe and that it could collapse at any time. This was in the middle of a lockdown, we were asked by Simon if it was possible for us to go ‘home’ for a few days or stay with friends (me and my housemate both live three hours away, and were worried about the pandemic). They offered us rooms in college mews, we declined as we didn’t want to share a kitchen during a pandemic and didn’t see why we should have to move into shared accommodation that we’d both heard terrible things about, they then said we could get a room in a hotel.They were only offering us a twin room, we were paying for separate rooms in our house and both had uni lectures to attend online, also shouldn’t have to.Eventually they said we could have a room each in the hotel after we had to explain a lot of personal issues. During the three days we had to stay there no one from lighthouse checked to see if we were okay and we never got an apology. Not only was this stressful but also cost us a lot of money that neither of us had, we had to buy every meal from a takeaway as our rooms didn’t have a fridge/microwave, we asked about the money and we were told that the landlord had already been kind enough to pay for both rooms and that he only HAD to give us the money for our rent of those three days (which was less than it cost for one room).We then had to keep asking when the damp wall would be sorted, it was getting much worse. At one point we noticed damp around a light switch and a plug socket, we were worried, an electrician came out and it turns out there was water in the plug socket! We were finally given a date for damp specialists to come and sort the walls this was the end of march. We were told it would take a few days but the contractor was unable to finish it as he had another job to go to, we were left with bare brick walls for nearly a week. When this was plastered we were told it needed to be decorated, as we still had a while until we moved out we assumed it would be done before then. It was not.We had many other issues one being with the drain for the toilet, it constantly got blocked so we were unable to use our only toilet, we had many drain specialists out, multiple told us they needed to put a camera down to see why it was blocking and it would happen again if nothing was done, this was passed on but nothing was done until we kept on. Once, it got blocked on a Friday night, I emailed them straight away hoping for a reply in the morning, I then phoned the office at 11am on Saturday but there was no answer, so i phoned the emergency number. This was then passed on to lighthouse who messaged me to tell me someone would be out to fix it Sunday morning, when I replied saying that we could not use the toilet, there was no reply so I tried phoning but the phone was off. We were left until Sunday without a toilet, so over 24 hours.I also did not appreciate the condescending tone of many emails and phone calls, one example is the email attached from Peter Hill explaining to me what a plumber does, what an electrician does. They made us feel as though we had no right to report these issues and we felt as though they didn’t believe us.The only good thing about being with lighthouse was Dan the maintenance man. He is lovely and nothing was ever too much trouble, he would always help us out where he could even if he only came round to sort something else out. Such a lovely guy he deserves the five stars but sadly the company he works for definitely do not.

booked my third year student house with the Lighthouse Property Services and Ellie was super helpful with showing us around the house as well as sorting out deposits straight away! as expected things got worn out, but a maintenance team were sent out ASAP to fix/ replace any issues. i couldn't recommend this company enough for renting a student house :)

I have had a very good experience with Lighthouse this past year. They proved very helpful in regards to any queries, responding quickly to any repairs etc needed.Doing business with this company was easy. The contracts were clear and concise. Monthly reminders were given and definitely helped in regards to my busy schedule. They made living away from home for the first time a lot less complicated than anticipated, and I would certainly use this company again and recommend other students to use them too.

My experience with this company has been negative as I moved into the property (Brayford Court, Carholm Road) back in October 2019.After a month of moving to UK as an international student, rent payment got delayed by 1 day, and my guarantor got served a notice by mail to his house to pay the rent. Shouldn’t they contact me first?I was not in Lincoln on the day of payment due to unexpected call for job interview in Sheffield, as I didn’t have a bank account at that moment, this caused delay till I paid in cash by the next morning.I had to face trust issues by my friend (guarantor) afterwards because of this company having no concern and sympathy with student’s situation.

Staff are very pleasant and helpful.I signed on for a flat and had extenuating circumstances come up, which they worked to accommodate for. I'm moving in tomorrow and couldn't be happier with their service!They do student housing as well.

As landlords we have dealt with all the team at Lighthouse Property Services a number of times and we can say that they are polite, professional and hardworking.They always give feedback in terms of condition and safety regulations a property should be in prior to letting. They carry out the appropriate checks on behalf of the tenants and we value their input.Simon, Peter and the team do a great job in terms of maintenance and general enquiries. We really wouldn't want to go to another lettings agency! Our tenants are happy and that says it all.
