Lovely building and room however staff had minimal interest in the hotel side of the business. Did not expect to be turfed out of our room before check out time. Hotel does not have dinner options most days and beyond cereal must go to local shop for breakfast.

We stayed in room 3 for one night. Unfortunately the rooms on first impression look quite nice, however there needs to be some immediate updates to make this an enjoyable stay. One side of the bed frame had collapsed, a bodged repair had been made but due to this we were kept awake allnight by the squeaking everytime we moved. The bathroom has tiles in the shower that need to be retiled. The bedframe and window sills were dusty and the bathroom window film is held on with blu tack. We didn't even have a chance to speak to staff about the issues as no one was present when we returned from dinner or checkout in the morning. The service was great, bar was good too with great beers. However a little disappointed for £105 per night for room only.

No staff after 9pm to access building.Food prices not covered by employer purchase (usually accept £20 voucher & breakfast).Room 5 very scary indeed.Lady manager a nice lady.Area stunningly beautiful.

Good place to stay or evening out. Locals will make you feel at home especially Gareth. No food Monday or tuesday as chef's day off so if staying may have to look to pub down road or chippy. Could possibly incorporate event evenings to entice more atmosphere as can be so so every night. All in all a lot of potential but needs investment to entice more atmosphere.

Beautiful building and nice outside area for eating. We visited Godwins and stayed overnight whilst visiting friends in Hereford. We arrived on a Sunday evening around 7pm and checked in - rooms were nice and service seemed good. Unfortunately the kitchen was already closed and there was nothing walkable to Godwins for dinner, however they were able to offer some pizzas which were okay. Waking up the following morning around 8-9am, for the prepaid continental breakfast and there were absolutely no staff on site and the main building was locked so we couldn’t even check out before our day. Ended up leaving keys in the room doors and just leaving without breakfast. Bit of a shame but otherwise a really nice place to stay that’s also near Hereford.
