The Abbot's Table
We visited The Abbot’s Table twice on our holiday in Tewksbury. The first time was a great experience. I enjoyed a T-bone steak with peppercorn sauce and my wife tucked into a smaller 8 oz steak, both with delicious vegetables. The service was great and the food was served quickly. It’s a little on the expensive side of dining but a nice experience. We liked the restaurant so much that we returned a couple of days later for Sunday lunch. This was not as good, as far as the food was concerned with there being Sunday lunch offer on, which seemed mean the standard of food was still nice but notched down to manufactured Yorkshire puddings and watery gravy on my wife’s serving and supermarket breaded scampi and chips on mine. I have no problem with this - especially as my partner’s serving of sliced lamb was excellent, it was just a little bit of a letdown after the superb dinner the previous time. It was still an enjoyable meal all the same. Recommended.

The Abbot's Table
We've passed here dozens times when visiting the Mezban Indian next door, always been busy so have always wanted to try. Friends of ours had booked it for us for there anniversary last night . WOW WOW WOW, Gloucestershire as whole lacks Good Tradition English Food not sold on a massive chain scale, The Chef is also the owner his fine attention to detail with prevention speaks for it self along with the taste, the staff working were very welcoming , we can not wait to go back and try more off the menu, there's an old saying my Dad always said You pay for decent food" and 100% Good Traditional Food is served here

The food here is excellent, all cooked perfectly with great presentation. The staff are very professional and have great knowledge of the menu and although there was only 2 members of staff serving, they done extremely well with a full restaurant. There was 12 of us and there was no mistakes from the kitchen and all the food came out at the same time.It has a cosy, warm atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this place and will definately return again.Me and my partner had the chicken breast with mashed potatoes, vegetables with creamy mushrooms and dijon mustard sauce.Other dishes to recommend were the rump of lamb and the salmon. In fact, everyone was happy with their food.

The Abbot's Table
Despite visiting on a busy Saturday night, service was slick, our food was perfectly prepared and well presented, and the wines we chose complimented the dishes really well. Luckily, we went straight to the main course, so there was still room for desert, as portions are good. We'll certainly return if we're in the area as the experience was so good.

Excellent meal, tasty lamb and rib eye steak and yummy lemon meringue pie.Steak originally came out well done. We had asked for medium rare, so they refired it and it was perfect.Nice atmosphere and polite staff.

Had a great steak meal, lovely welcoming service and dog friendly.Gorgeous, cozy restaurant inside.I had the Sirloin steak with lots of chunky chips, 2 onion rings, mushrooms, tomatoes, salad and Bernaise sauce. The steak was cooked medium for me and it was so tasty, well seasoned and melted in the mouth, and the mushrooms were the tastiest I’d ever had. Would definitely return!

The Abbot's Table
Hands down THE best roast!!We stumbled across The Abbot's Table after a walk around Tewkesbury Abbey. We noticed a board outside which mentioned about their Sunday Roast deals which seemed too good to miss. We very quickly booked a table for today (they only open 12-3pm on a Sunday) and oh my goodness we were absolutely blown away. We both went for the Lamb Roast and it came with so much on the plate. A generous amount of lamb with potatoes 3 ways - Boiled, Roasted AND Dauphinoise, Cauliflower cheese, carrots, broccoli, honey-roasted parsnips and a Yorkshire pudding all covered in a tasty gravy. The service was great both timely and friendly and the restaurant itself had a lot of charm and history. If we lived closer this would be our regular Sunday Roast :) - Don't miss out on this if you live in or visit Tewkesbury.

The Abbot's Table
In the quaint town of Tewkesbury there lies a restaurant names the abbots table which was previously known as the aubergine.I went in to try a desert that I am fond of which is creme brulé. The small but luxury style restaurant has wonderful murals of the Tewkesbury abbey which is just down the road and bottles on the wall showcasing some of there wines on sale. When entering I will agree turning up at 9.15 for desert is not common but the waitress was quick in seating me and taking my order. I assume the chef asked her to check I didn't want s starter or a main as she came back to offer me s menu. The wait was not long to some extent. But sometimes the wait means your in for a treat. Now the creme brulé arrived and I'll be honest it looked a tad small, as you can see from the photos there was very little sugar on the top and a reasonable amount of the custard. This meant that sadly there was a slight tap but not as much as I was hoping for. Please bear in mind the cost was only £5.65 so it can be expected that it will not be out of this world. But the taste was pleasant yet not overwhelming. This is why I give it a 4 out of 5. The issue itself can be rectified by adding a little more sugar and and a bit more pud.I will say that from the prices of the restaurant. The price could easily quantify £6 to £7.I will have to come back to sample there starters and mains but I will be sure to bring a friend as the ambience in this place is lovely and perfect for an anniversary or birthday.EDIT.I completely forgot about the free cherry Kirsch and sweets as a thank you which I think is an amazing jesture especially at the end of a big meal. So points for that!

The Abbot's Table
We went to celebrate my sister's 40th birthday and couldn't fault this place. Kasha our waitress was polite, friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely amazing. We all had steaks and throughly enjoyed every bite. Reasonably priced and what a gem in Tewkesbury. Would definitely visit again.
