T J Lodge have been around for many years and I’ve been using both this location and the one in Wolverton for longer than I care to remember. The service and aftercare has always been excellent and their prices very good. When I was looking at glasses with high index glass the prices were better than Costco for example.They carry a wide range of frames and also have a contact lens specialist in house.They have recently expanded their service to now make the lenses on site. I understand this is quite unusual these days but it ensures if needed a quick turnaround and also the ability to custom make lenses to fit any frame. They can also custom fit make clip on sunglasses that really look like part of the frame( see pics). This really adds up to a total service regarding eye care and glasses. Highly recommended.

TJ Lodge Opticians have looked after my family for years. I've been visiting since I was very young. They're consistently reliable, professional and trustworthy.

We have been going here for 7 years as prefer to see the same optician. She is very patient with my son who can get anxious. She takes the time to explain everything and I never feel rushed.I would recommend the whole team who go the extra mile for us each time

The lady optician was very rude. My partner took our 5 year old daughter for a eye test as our GP recommended it as part of an ongoing headache/ migraine problem. The optician made us feel like we where there to waste her time and not there for a genuine reason. When we got the good news that my daughters eyes where okay the optician replied “there’s never been anything wrong has there” this made her feel like she was being spoken down to and made her feel small. My partner has used this optician for over 20years how ever since the change of staff we feel the service has gone down hill and the optician is ill mannered

Literally told me on the phone they do not serve me as they do not need new customers. Lol. Never had an experience like that with a business if I am ready to spend cash on a sight test and new glasses. Ridiculous. My old glasses broke and I literally do not see much without glasses. Was happy to come in to get an urgent eye test done and buy glasses ASAP. Alright, will support another local business then that`s happy to accept my money for a sight test and glasses with 1.74 ultra-thin lenses. If you treat potential customers like this, you will not be around for much longer. Sad.

Terry and the whole team have been helping my entire family for years. At the age I started needing glasses, I tried a few other places but all were just commercial, sales focused businesses like specsavers so mum brought me to lodges where she’d been bringing my sister for years and they were fantastic from the word go. Over 10 years later I still use them (travelling from Norwich to do so) and get greeted by name as I walk in the door. Amazing, personal, caring service! Highly recommend, and do so often, for sight tests, lenses and glasses!

Called today to book a last min urgent eye test, was told they had one available untill the lady on the phone asked if I would be buying glasses from them as well, to which I answered as unsure as did not know what they would stock , they then told me not to come to the test if I wasn't buying glasses then she proceeded to put the phone down on me. Very rude and unprofessional. Wanted to support a local business, however ended up at a chain store, eye test done and glasses purchased you missed a big sale
