Downham & Clackclose Conservative Club

This is a welcome safe haven for those seeking relief from the scourge of Socialism. Truly there isn't a Socialist in sight. Not so much as a cloth cap, a flat vowel, or hint of unsavoury bigotry. An unassuming building with solid walls, excellent panelling, hidden treasures of nostalgia, with a welcoming air. Corridors are well lit, warm, furnished with appropriate seating, divulges a building well used across the local community.

Breakfast, very good value, and tasty, will be back again.

I would like to thank the club and its members for their help last week when I was shopping in Downham Market from around 5 last Saturday The lady at the bar and some particular members welcomed me into the club . They rallied around to help me with my Parkinsons Allowed me to park up my electric trike, near the bar. Helped me with refreshments and drink to a table outside. 3 members sitting outside who although complete strangers were happy to assist me who welcomed me and fetched me some personal belongings from my trike inside, to my table outside. This was extremely helpful at that time as I was having an attack of Parkinsons.The lady at the bar even called me to make sure I got my t train home Members helped me with loading my trike and getting me outside to go the station, even offering to accompany me .Lets hope one day I will be well enough to enjoy the bowling facilities at the club which looked so good as well the excellent gardens at the club. Many thanks for a very positive experience.

Best club in west Norfolk with the best facility's and also an amazing bowls club well worth a visit.

Have been for a roast a few times now.Fantastic Chef, roast is lush, can't fault and great prices.Mother in law could not eat the cauliflower cheese so plain Cauliflower was provided.

Had fish and chips on Friday night was very good very friendly staff

It's a very good place to go for a drink good atmosphere bar steward is very good

Great food, Sunday carvery is a must, wednesday oap special. Real ale is tops (my husband says).

Nice club, they sell food in the day, Sunday lunch, this is a private club, so membership required, they run weekend functions with music
