Epilepsy Connections

Fantastically helpful organisation. Friendly and caring staff on hand to help with all your needs. If you or a family member is effected by epilepsy then it's a must for the diary. I would highly recommend Epilepsy Connection to anyone effected by the condition to get in touch and see how they could help you back out into the world with a safer outlook. They provide workshops, getting into work programmes and can help with DSS applications.

I cannot praise this organisation highly enough.They were recommended to me by my Epilepsy Nurse Specialist. It was at a time in my life when I was recovering from serious illness, feeling overwhelmed and was extremely vulnerable.From their first contact I felt their professionalism, their experience, their empathy and most of all that I was not alone; suddenly someone had my back.Through informal chat on the phone they quickly prioritised my needs and saw that practical help was top of the list.I was quickly allocated a field worker who was an absolute godsend. He came to my home and spent hours helping me navigate the benefits system.He stayed in constant touch, reminding me to do things, referring me to other useful agencies and generally being my voice at a time that I had lost mine.I could not have asked for a better advocate and he will forever be a legend to me!I am so grateful to Epilepsy Connections. Even they couldn’t possibly know the positive impact they had on my life.

Personal success for me was to try creative writing to control my seizures.Ii was not important to try and sell them but to reduce my seizures.I won that battle and my writing to. To day and since earlychildhood I have reduced them to 4 a year.I would like to encourage others to try what I have achieved.GOOD LUCK AND BLESS YOUERIC
