Unfair place to work you get sacked if your face don't fit, I was sacked without a verbal warning, a written warning or even took into the office for a chat .. I had a day off and found a letter in my door mat saying my employment was over ... How bloody professional I will never step foot into another care home ever again because of how the staff ganged up on me.

Nan started doing flips when she saw a maltby man walk in. Segregate the less fortunate next time please!

I worked as a care assistant at Whiston Hall from October 2020 to July 2022. I only left because I was moving away and was very sad to leave.I loved working here. I got along well with all of the staff and we all looked out for eachother and worked well as a team. I was contracted to 24 hours so I worked two 12 hour shifts a week, sometimes a third one if I wanted to. We had regular up-to-date training and staff meetings to discuss our issues.Like any care setting, it could be fast paced and challenging at times, but we always managed. I found the seniors approachable and they always helped us when they could.I had the chance to progress here; I completed my Care Certificate, and other online courses to further my knowledge. I also had the opportunity to do my medication training and build my way up to becoming a senior, however unfortunately I was moving so I left before this.The residents I cared for here were very special and I miss them a lot. Since leaving I haven’t found another workplace where I have felt the same connection. This care home will always hold a special place in my heart ❤️

I would not keep my dog here. Steer clear!
