World of Owls
Amazing place full of magical and beautiful birds and other beauties. Loads of these birds are rescues or are brought to the centre in all sorts of conditions and get better here. The people have such love for the birds and you can tell they are well looked after.

We had a wonderful visit here. It's a family run sanctuary and doing such important work rescuing and looking after these birds. It's not a falconry centre so don't expect to see birds flying or guarantees to hold the birds - this is very clear on their website. We were very lucky that they had arrived back from an educational visit while we were there so we were able to see a few owls up close and hold one of them. We got to learn more about the history of the sanctuary and the birds there as well as learn more about the specific owls they had taken out on the visit. They gave us so much time to ask questions and learn more - it really has opened my eyes to how important sanctuaries like this are!Definitely worth visiting here and take your time reading the signs to learn more about the birds. You can take a walk in the forest after too, such a beautiful area.

This is a lovely sanctuary for birds who have been previously poorly looked after. All of the staff are friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable. Every single penny goes into caring for the animals and giving them all that they need. The sanctuary is located in Randalstown Forest and is so peaceful and calming. Would definitely recommend a visit here.

A brilliant experience seeing the owls and other birds. Very natural looking for the animals nothing too fancy. The staff was amazing with my little girl, had so much time for her and let us interact with one of the owls.

Lots of different owls and other birds of prey. They also have reptiles, spiders, lizards and a hedgehog. Ongoing work for new owl enclosures being built so will be back in a few months to see the new additions

Good selection of birds but the place is a bit tired and run down if I'm honest. Also supposed to open at 11am and while I was there at 1103am it was shut. Staff didn't arrive until about 1115am when other visitors had arrived and were waiting outside.

Took our 5 year old daughter on a Saturday. Absolutely loved it. We will be back. The staff are so helpful and great with kids. Credit to staff who work on a voluntary basis. Deserves a lottery grant to help upgrade the estuary.

Had a lovely visit to the world of owls. Was unsure what to expect or how much we’d get to see but was pleasantly surprised. Saw loads of birds of prey up close for a modest price of £7 worth a visit if you’re considering it, right in the forest if you want to go for a walk after.
