Hickton's gave us a wonderful experience at a sad time. From the care, compassion and kindness of Laura throughout to the smooth running and efficiency of the whole process. The whole Hickton's team behaved with professionalism and kindness. Calum and his team treated us with respect and dignity on the day of the funeral and Phil led a memorable service for our Dad. Dealing with my first personal loss when my wife, Mandy, passed away I was completely lost, didn't have the foggiest idea what to do, until I visited Hickton's on Penn Rd.Laura, sat down with me and took me through everything, paperwork arrangements, options. Her Honesty (a quality rarely found nowadays) shone through, her care and sense of what I wanted was her main priority, I cannot express how much that meant to me, and my wife's family. Even though my wife's family Funeral Director was only 2 doors away I did not feel the need to search any further. From my first visit to finally collecting her remains, everything and anything was never a problem, total care. Laura, Callum and Philip, the Celebrant, were brilliant. From start to finish, Laura helped us with everything, she was caring, empathetic and above all professional. Dad had to be repatriated and Laura organised everything very efficiently and in a short space of time. Whilst in her care dad was treated with care and dignity. During this sad and trying time Laura made it that little it easier for us,keeping us up to date at each stage of dad's funeral and repatriation. I don't now were to start to express how grateful I am enough for all the help and support myself and family were given during the planning, preparation, funeral itself and aftermath from laura deely and the hickton family. While struggling with greith of losing my dad, laura herself was their for us from the start to end, professionally yet so personally involved too... myself or auntie&uncle had never had to plan a funeral before, had no idea where to begin or what to expect until laura welcomed us into the hickton family with open arms, answered any questions we had, guided us, reasured us and helped give my dad the best send of possible.
