Asda Peterlee Superstore

Went shopping to Peterlee Asda to be told at 3.45 time to go , but they take our money, we stand ages at tills, thestaff moan about the place in front of customers , and they hassle you yo leave at 3.45pm. Asda not a good place in my view

I recently visited Asda Peterlee and had a generally positive experience. The staff was friendly and helpful, making my shopping trip enjoyable. It was interesting to learn that some locals still refer to it as Fine Fare, highlighting the store's long-standing presence in the community. However, I did hear a few people expressing nostalgia for the old Asda store, suggesting they preferred its layout or atmosphere. Despite that, the modern amenities and wide product selection make the new Asda Peterlee a convenient option for shopping.

The customer is always wrong!!I went into the cafe and saw at least 3 flies buzzing around the tables. One fly (pictured) landed on my toast so that went in the bin. The manager James (pictured) was very rude to me and made me feel like I was a liar and not welcome in the store just because I made a complaint. If you make any big purchases make sure the ink hasn't ran out of the receipt machine as the staff don't check. I was in the store 15 minutes before closing time and a member of staff very rudely told me to leave the store as they were closing soon. The stores delivery van (pictured) blocked 2 other delivery vans in with his terrible parking and things got a little bit toxic between them. I'm an ex employee who helped open the new Peterlee store over 20 years ago and it was a great place to work back then. I've also worked in the old Peterlee store and Benton in Newcastle. These days the staff seem to be working in a toxic environment as they just don't seem happy to help in general. Some of the staff seem really canny and helpful but there isn't many of them.

Lovely large store plenty of produce, and prices are really low.

Great for food & clothing and quite a bit more staff really helpful and friendly and overall great selection and service.

Security in this place always offer a good laugh.Stare at you and follow you around the entire shop and always give funny looks, if ever called out on this play stupid. Well I say play but the lights aren’t turned on with many people in peterleeI would suggest hiring proper security because the overweight dumb people you hire would only stop a person shoplifting if they sit on them.God forbid they run out because they’d be screwed.

I visited the peterlee store on the 14th December with my partially disabled partner hoping to have the use of a scooter but although 4 where available not one was working so she relied on leaning on a trolley for our shopping even so we spent we spent 200 pounds but could have been more enjoyable

All really good quality people in this store... big up to the ladies on the pizza section they are nice friendly fast... rambunctious and refined ladies all at all the same time...Asda you should give them a raise...Ok... im done talking... ok... keh.. ke.. k

Always an easy store to shop in & always visit the same lady on the till (sorry forgot her name but glasses, medium length dark hair) as her customer service is always great, and she’s good with my son who likes to make himself heard.Deducted one star due to child bay spaces as always find these difficult to get parked in (I need to safely get my son into the car from his pram along with my shopping) yet always find they’re in use from other customers without a child to be seen. I feel like security could possibly carry out regular walks around these bays so those who need the space can access them more to safely get children in & out of the car, instead of them being taken up by those without children who can park in the many spaces available to them.

Great store for all your household shopping, including, clothing, toys,seasonal goods ect. Great parking and easy access from the town center and bus station. Excellent customer service.
