A severe case of mismanagement and the presence of a bullying culture which inherently demeans every member of staff and leaves the safeguarding of clients at risk. On multiple instances during my employment at the aforementioned care agency were manipulation techniques used to persuade my wife and I that if we did “favours” for them and covered last minute shifts that we would receive a bonus. Although no written or formal agreement was made, the pay was anticipated through word of mouth and an exchange of promise. However, no such payment was ever received. My wife and I were also called to an office meeting where we were separated- something that wasn’t coherent with usual proceedings in relation to how we were treated. Upon my wife’s arrival, she was demeaned and accused to the point the supervisor and office staff in question attempted to create a divide between us and place the other liable for something that wasn’t untrue. This undue distress and manipulation caused a negative impact on my wife’s health and epilepsy. Further to this, supervisors have effectively imposed a philosophy of restricting safeguarding procedures in relation to service users by refusing to follow their own advice in training and leaving dangerous dishes beside a client who is vulnerable and severely visually impaired. If the office staff decide they hold a grudge against an individual, they will repeatedly insist on belittling them and even threatening to prevent them from working at other care agencies and using the threat of removal of work hours to attempt to forcibly get workers to do what they want- something for which I have obtained physical evidence of in relation to my own personal mistreatment. There are multiple legalities that have been violated including the Employment Rights Act and more fundamentally The Care Act of 2004 which unequivocally emphasises the safeguarding and welfare of any and all clients under the institutional umbrella. Everyone has their own individual needs in relation to the type of care required for their friends or family members I would however advise to evade this organisation when searching for somewhere for yourself or any family members to be cared for and look elsewhere.
