Amanda Lando is an amazing teacher with vast experience, incredibly patient and encouraging. I can highly recommend her to anyone with children who are struggling with their handwriting or need help catching up with Maths or English. Amanda is fantastic at maintaining a very active boy’s attention on written task and uses many different strategies to make the writing lessons fun. My 7 year old had a very messy handwriting and with Amanda’s help, it has improved in a short space of time and he is now joining all letters and has learnt to write neat and faster. She is also very flexible with times and slots which at times became invaluable.Thanks to Amanda, my son’s self-confidence in writing and Maths has increased and he is very proud of his achievements. He enjoys his lessons and he also formed a special both with Amanda. We love seeing him flourish at school thanks to Amanda’s help.Thank you for everything, Amanda. You are truly one in a million.

Amanda is a wonderful, supportive and very patient handwriting tutor, whom I highly recommend for anyone needing help with handwriting.We signed up to an intensive (5 days per week) zoom course for our 7 year old son. He was struggling with handwriting and had developed a poor pencil grip. Handwriting was becoming a problem for him and was affecting his school work and mood generally.Amanda was great at outlining the process in advance so that we were all aligned. She was very flexible in terms of our schedule and changes to that where needed.She developed a great rapport with our son - very patient, with good humour and very specific about details. The course is well structured and she paced it based on his progress. It was heartening to watch our son really focusing for the full 45 mins and them working together so well online. He didn’t once complain about the lessons - I think he quite enjoyed them.Did it work? Yes - his handwriting is transformed after the course!His teacher at school mentioned a few times how much his handwriting has improved. She even asked him to write the leaving card for one of the teachers, which made his day and ours.The best outcome, apart from the handwriting skills, is that he is confident and feels good about his handwriting.Thank you Amanda!

I highly recommend Amanda as a handwriting tutor. She has been a wonderfully patient, kind and encouraging tutor for my son. His handwriting has improved so much under her guidance. We spent many hours with Amanda over Zoom this summer, completing the Magic Link Handwriting program, during which time Amanda was able to keep the attention of a busy 8 year old boy and always had a strategy at the ready to deal with any wobbles along the way. She was also great at sensing when he had had enough and when he could be encouraged to do a bit more. We have previously been advised that my son has some sensory processing challenges, which in turn impact his handwriting, and we have had occupational therapy and handwriting lessons over the last couple of years to address this, along with trying just about every pencil under the sun, and nothing has come close the the progress we have made with Amanda.
