GREAT INDEPENDENT ESTATE AGENT & LETTING AGENCY.We have used the letting agency services provided by Julian Marks for many years now and have always received a professional and efficient service. We have recently used their services for buying and selling properties and again, found them to be very professional. We were kept informed from start to finish of the negotiations/transactions (with Steve, their Sales & Letting Manager going the extra mile to ensure things went as smoothly as possible). All their staff are friendly, approachable and helpful. I would have no hesitation recommending this agency to landlords or prospective sellers/purchasers.

Julian Marks was amazing through the whole process. They sold my house within weeks. Lyn stayed with through out the process and assisted me greatly with my purchase that had many issues. Would not hesitate to recommend them.

Very similar experience to the previous 1*review. Hounded me for proof of my buying position, I sent mortgage offers, DIPS & proof of savings which were sufficient for the purchase price and they still insisted on an email from my broker confirming all the details. They were also questioning my ability to turn my current property into a BTL which had no relevance to this purchase.All this before even informing me if my offer has been accepted or declined but still i submitted all the information on the day of asking. Even my broker started to question their ability to understand a very simple process.Offered full asking price for the property on the day of viewing 19/03/22 and had no feedback regarding my offer apart from that they were going to best and finals on 24/03/22. I was told this on 23/03/22 and I explained that at this moment in time I wouldn’t be looking to increase the offer but was told we still had until 12 the next day to confirm and submit a final offer.I was then called the same day 23/03/22 to say they had received all final offers and that ours had been declined. I called back to submit a higher final offer as I believed we had until the next day. I was told i can’t as the vendor has accepted another offer. Previous experiences with other estate agents in the area actually stick to the best and final dates and given the fact they had my offer for four days they had every opportunity to present it to the vendor and let me know that this amount would be declined which would of given me time to consider my options.They are very misleading and on the last call with Caroline I was then spoken to in a very rude and condescending tone and felt like I was given a lecture in the processes of buying a house. (This is not the first time I’m moving home so I'm very aware of the processes)Even if I was in the wrong or misunderstood the information I was given, your staff have no right to speak to any customer in that tone. Especially when I have been polite and courteous throughout our interactions.

Appalling service and communication.I was the first person to view a property advertised by Julian Marks in Plymouth. During the viewing, I informed the estate agent that I wanted the property and asked what the next steps were. I was told that there was a lot of interest, and if there were more than one interested party, that it would go to sealed bids.2 days after viewing, I received a call from Julian Marks to say that an offer had been accepted by the seller on the first viewing day. I was also informed that the seller wasn’t willing to consider any further offers.I feel extremely let down by this estate agent, they should have explained their process clearly and then stuck to it.

I’m so happy that we went with Julian Marks to manage the sale of our property. It was an absolute pleasure to deal with them. From the outset they provided a high level of service, were so supportive and professional, they even stepped in to pick up where the agent for my purchase (Stuart Randall - Yopa - just an FYI to avoid these two at all costs) fell severely short.I’d like to give particular thanks to Chris, Tara and Julia who were absolutely fabulous. Steve has always been great and the rest of the lettings team. Steve helped us move into our first rental property 6 yrs ago and now helping us again move on. He's so professional but also personal.

Julian Marks sold our home (subject to contract) within 6 days of taking it to the market place. The pathway to completion was not the most straightforward as one part of the chain had issues with their sale but Mark Flynn went out of his way to do everything possible to expedite the process; his professionalism was outstanding. We were so impressed with every member of the team; excellent communication, transparency in their processes, every call back promise kept. Moving is said to be stressful but JM made it as easy.
