Went for a Birthday Breakfast having seen extensive, tasty looking menu on website. Turned up and they haven't been doing Breakfast for months but haven't bothered to update the website. Poor staff are having to get used to telling disappointed customers who turn up. Hotel guests have to make do with continental breakfast which is hardly four star"."

Exceptional. The knife and cleaver accommodated us for our wedding reception at 5 weeks notice, for our wedding under special circumstances. An they went above and beyond what we expected.The room itself is perfect for any event, good size, beautifully decorated, an they are helpful from start to finish.The buffet food was incredible, absolutely amazing, cannot fault it. (There everyday menu food is also incredible).From planning right at the start to all the way through, contact was great. They added extras in for us an even a couple of surprises on the day.The duo they recommended for us too sing, we're incredible too, an was a perfect touch to the evening.All in all if you are looking for a meal or a drink, up to a party or event, you won't go wrong too book it here. It was absolutely faultless, an we cannot thank them enough, an would recommend to anyone.

Just a disappointment really. It has been a while since I'd eaten at the K+C (where I've previously had a good experience), but returned here with a large party for Sunday lunch.Service was excellent, we were seated pretty quickly and the wait staff were friendly and accommodating.Really, the food is a big talking point here. Some of us ordered roasts and others main menu items. Unfortunately the roasts were very fatty and didn't contain all the elements listed on the menu (missing Stuffing, and oddly, included courgettes?). The main menu items were fine, but nothing to shout about. One thing to flag: one of our party is Vegan, but was served a side with cheese and cream in it - so something to watch out for.The K+C is a really is a nice pub, but there really is room for improvement in terms of food quality.

Fantastic venue with incredible food. Staff were really friendly and couldn’t do enough for us both before and during our event. Our waitress Emma was amazing and made our evening very enjoyable. Thanks to the whole team!

8 of us celebrating with a birthday lunch, everyone’s meal was perfect. Due to no vegan mains on the normal menu, I was invited to choose from the Christmas Day menu. The vegan tart took a while to make fresh, but was the most delicious thing I’ve ever tasted!!Staff were very friendly, helpful and patient x

Went for a meal here. It's a nice pub with a nice atmosphere. Food was average, but service was very slow. Maybe they had a busy evening.

Really surprised how nice the room was. Never had food but they serve a good pint. One thing they should take into consideration is perhaps saving a few parking places for guests who are staying the night. Other than that its a nice little pub and would return if in the area again.

Went for a birthday meal,waited 30mins for waitress to take order then waited over an hour for the food to arrive. Then 2 orders were incorrect!Food below average at best. Waitress was useless.On the plus they gave us £60 off the bill and the pub itself is really nice.Will not be hurrying back for food ever.

Went for Sunday dinner and was not disappointed! Staff were friendly and helpful despite it being fairly busy. We had the trio roast for two, which had plenty of food and was delicious
