Love the riding as there are plenty of shops for what you need even a morrisons.Plenty of cafés for a cuppa and a bit to eat.Indoor shopping too ,so no problem with the weather. Parking is plentiful and cheap.

Owners taking it in a new direction and seems to be working, last time I went it was rather dark and most units empty, now its more welcoming, quite a lot of open shops, and weekend craft or record markets. Good to see the space been used well

This was an after hours visit on Sunday so the area was pretty much deserted. It is quieter and family friendly. The nearby parking lot is a great benefit and makes most of the town centre shopping, restaurants and banking facilities within reach if you love walking. The Shopping Centre itself offers much in terms of clothing and home and garden.

OK shopping centre not much shops open like a few years back. Indoor play area good idea for kids although it was really cold, and not much seating for parents

Ridings shopping is still ok for some shops. BUT l must point out and in my opinion it is getting very scruffy !! I was very disappointed on my last visit. To be totally honest the new riding center is much better.

I think the new owners are to be congratulated for bringing life back into the Ridings. Seems busier than it yas been for some years, the new free playground area, the social events, cuppa clubs, market stalls and new small shops all seem popular so well done.

The Ridings is good if you know what you're going for and have a shop in mind. I'm thinking M&S, Boots and Primark really as those are the most popular. It's not really a place for an enjoyable roam around though from my perspective. The layout never fails to confuse me but there are a few nice spots - the smoothie bar is great, the cinema is much cheaper than most and has all the big films you'd want and we loved Rainbow Playrooms when it was there. Sad to see that go as it brought us into the centre of Wakefield a lot and meant we often visited other local cafes in the Ridings before or after. It'd be great if someone was able to give the Ridings a bit of TLC and make it more of a 'destination' as Trinity Walk has the normal shopping covered. The cinema feels like a good start.

Getting better again, units starting to fill up, lots of pop up craft fairs which is lovely to visit. Pity the toilets have been closed on the top floor bearing in mind d they are opposite the food court.

New owners and team clearly trying hard to turn it around. Still a lot to do, second car park over the bridge is at the point where I'd be surprised if it doesn't need a full tear down and rebuild, many lifts need overhauling, some areas scruffy. But the place had been basically neglected by previous owners for about 20 years and I'm surprised how quickly they've pressed ahead with repairs. Just wish they'd get the glass elevator and the fish back.
