Fantastic experience with Barcan&Kirby and our solicitor Sarah, for a new build Flat conveyancing. After previous terrible experiences the service from online only firms, the communication and professionalism was outstanding and worlds apart from other conveyancing firms. A little pricier that the cheap online ones but certainly worth it. The quality and speed of work and communication by email was great, certainly felt like we weren’t just one of many clients. We especially liked having a “Letter” for each major legal step or document, outlining and explaining all the legal jargon. When things got tight with our mortgage, it was comforting that our solicitor would respond quickly and informatively, and we would not have to chase for answers. The only constructive points I would give are, as first time buyers it would have been nice for a few more phone calls, but they are not actually necessary. Secondly, a Wet ink signature was required for some documents, with it requiring dropping off. Surely something a little more technically savvy could be introduced? Both Non-issues in the grand scheme of things, especially when dwarfed by the outstanding service provided by Barcan+Kirby and our solicitor Sarah. Pricier than other services but well, well worth it. Definitely recommend.

I have very recently completed the sale of my parents house in Bristol and engaged Barcan+Kirby Solicitors for the conveyancing. I have found them to be very professional in their duties and for me, they made the whole process seamless. In particular, I would like to thanks Catherine Attfield (Senior Legal Secretary) who was assigned to me as the main contact for the day to day running of the sale. I found her to be very thorough and made the whole process easy and painless for me. I was acting POA over the sale of my parents house. Catherine went out of her way to make a special journey to visit my parents to verify their identities. All in all, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend B&K for future work especially if their employees are anything like Catherine.
