I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Tesco Metro at Eldon Square in Newcastle, and I must say it was an absolute delight. As a movie lover, the location couldn't be more perfect, with the nearby Cineworld just a stone's throw away. But what truly impressed me was the incredible value I found at Tesco Metro, thanks to their fantastic Clubcard Meal Deals and snacks!Firstly, the convenience factor cannot be overstated. Tesco Metro is conveniently located within Eldon Square, making it incredibly easy to pop in and grab everything I needed before heading to the movies. The store layout was well-organized, with clear signage and helpful staff, ensuring a hassle-free shopping experience. Now, let's talk about the star of the show, the £3.40 Clubcard Meal Deals! These meal deals are an absolute steal, providing excellent value for money. I was pleasantly surprised by the wide variety of options available, from sandwiches and wraps to salads and pasta dishes. It was refreshing to find a range of high-quality, freshly prepared meals at such an affordable price. The taste and freshness exceeded my expectations, and it was the perfect way to satisfy my hunger before the movie. But that's not all! Tesco Metro's snack selection deserves special mention. They have a vast array of snacks and treats, catering to every craving imaginable. Whether you're in the mood for a bag of popcorn, a selection of chocolates, or some refreshing beverages, they have it all. The prices were reasonable, and the selection was extensive, making it easy to find something to suit every taste. What impressed me the most about Tesco Metro was the attention to detail and the commitment to customer satisfaction. The staff members were friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable, always ready to assist with any queries I had. The store was clean and well-maintained, creating a pleasant and inviting atmosphere.Overall, I highly recommend Tesco Metro at Eldon Square to anyone looking for a fantastic shopping experience before catching a movie at Cineworld. The £3.40 Clubcard Meal Deals and snack selection provide unbeatable value, and the convenience of having everything you need in one place is simply unmatched. Bravo to Tesco Metro for making my cinema outing truly memorable. I will definitely be returning for more incredible deals and delicious snacks in the future!

I don't understand how Tesco is raising the tobacco price for how much they want without any Government increases. And the manager said that can increase every day .I paid 14.32 £ for a Pall Mall tobacco. The staff attitude was disgusting .It was missing just to punch me in the face , rather then that she did everything. It is not the first time when I show the staff making fun of the customers .If Tesco has become such a pooch retail store almost give an educational training to the staff for the prices that you change.Never again in a TESCO retail shop.Thank Q !

Fruit and veg always rotten in the shelves. On the off chance it isn't, it will go rotten before you even get it home. They never stock essential items (e.g. toilet roll, kitchen paper) instead opting to fill shelves with items like Easter Eggs from Jan 1st.Headed there today and it was the last straw. The fridges were obviously not working (or turned off) over the holiday period. The meat on the shelves is currently black and the staff have just left it there.Ironically, this is the most expensive grocery shop in the whole city centre. Head to M&S and you'll pay the same but you can do a whole shop and the food won't be rotten.

This is where I go when I want a pizza but feel like spending 65p more than the takeaway and fancy cooking it myself, then enjoying it less. It's also where I go for bars of Galaxy chocolate when I feel like paying 45p more than they cost in every other shop. Also, the staff and customers are extremely unpleasant in this store so it's perfect for masochists.

Only giving one star so I can leave a review.Visited today as we were walking past with my Brother just to have a look at the reduced section to see if anything good. Nothing worth having so went to walk out. Was blocked by an extremely rude and security guard demanding to know what we had bought in the store. I replied we had bought nothing. He demanded to know what was in my bags (we had been shopping in other stores. )and did we have receipts for everything. I had to unpack by bags show him each individual thing and show him the receipt for it an even including an e receipt! This was in front of everyone who stood and watched! None of the things I had can be purchased in Tesco! Then he insisted on emptying out my handbag and even my disabled Autistic Brothers bag which upset him a lot, even whilst he was on the brink of crying he continued. Only when an assistant came who I explained everything to did he stop. He stood and glared at us in silence whilst we had to repack everything. No apology was given from him. Left feeling angry and humiliated.AVOID USING THIS BRANCH!
