Lanelay Hall Hotel and Spa

Stayed here on Oct 23 for one night. Please note the car park outside the hotel is a bit small but there is overflow car park about 300 m away so bring a brolly! Staff are super friendly and helpful, and service was great . Had an evening meal which was fabulous. Worth booking in advance as it can get a bit busy. Also made use of the spa which was nice and relaxing . Again worth booking in advance. Drinks are the usual hotel prices , but other than that a great stay

Spa and restaurant review - received excellent service in the restaurant for the spa brunch. Lovely open kitchen and options, with very friendly and efficient staff. The afternoon tea looked amazing, definitely get this if you can. The spa was small but perfectly sized and very modern, with extremely attentive and welcoming staff. The treatment was very relaxing, but it would be good to ask for pressure preferences when the health form is completed. The men’s changing room however would benefit from a hair dryer, the toilet needed a good wipe, and the shower was missing shampoo and the shower gel didn’t work.

Fantastic spa day. Very relaxing atmosphere. The masseuse listened to our requests and did as we asked. The pool was lovely. Bar staff very helpful. It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Thank you for a lovely day!

went for message and brunchgreat staff and message however very over priced for what you get. 2 hot chocolate cost £7.60. the place around the pool very tired and tiles missing and raised and floor uneven in places. outside furniture was green.food was good.disappointed with facility’s. men’s changing rooms not very nice mold up walls and all of the shampoo and body wash were either empty or didn’t work. staff were excellent service. just disappointed in the faculty’s and price for what you get.

We came for an afternoon tea and it was nice, but definite room for improvement. The only savoury was the sandwiches, so I could of done with maybe one or two less cakes and something like a scotch egg or sausage roll instead. The salmon sandwich was a little hard to eat, with the salmon being a bit tough to bite into. The beef sandwiches did nothing for me, maybe a nice ham salad, tuna mayo, or egg mayo would be better. The chicken mayo sandwiches were lovely though. An option for a plain scone would have been great as we aren't lovers of fruit scones. It was a bit too much sweet for me. The scone was very heavy so I could only manage half the chocolate profiterole, we left the other two cakes. Some fresh fruit would have been nice to lighten it up and perhaps a few crisps?The venue is absolutely stunning though, and couldn't fault the staff. And the tea and coffee was lovely with plenty of milk and sugar to see us through.

Just returned from a 3 night stay. The spa was fantastic and we also tried out the new Blok restaurant, the food was amazing. Great service provided by all staff and our room was spacious. We had the clock tower room. Will be returning in the future.

We visited Lanelay Hall for a spa day for my husband’s birthday.What a beautiful hotel, tucked away in Pontyclun. There was plenty of parking and although within a residential area, was quiet and tranquil.We were greeted by friendly staff immediately who checked us in and led us to our brunch before going to the spa for our treatments.The spa booking came as a whole package with lunch, treatment and facilities included.The food was lovely and it was very clear that our dietary needs were taken care of. My husband is quite fussy so requested a vegan breakfast with a lot of items removed but they replaced items to make sure we weren’t left hungry.The spa was great. So clean and quiet. Beautiful indoor pool and a very special outdoor area which we were able to make the most of in the good weather.Treatments were excellent and again, we were taken great care of during our entire visit.We were able to order drinks in the spa and they were brought to us by the pool. It was just a special experience and I will definitely be booking again in future.

Absolutely beautiful Stuart building tastefully converted into a glorious hotel.and spa. Some of the best steak I have ever eaten in the restaurant. Wonderful luxurious rooms. Spa mineral pool is lovely and massage treatments amazing. If only it had a gym too! But this is a tiny quibble. Do not miss this venue for a incredible get away break.

Had a visit to the new restaurant Blok. It had only been open a week so had no feed back or expectations. What can I say it was amazing!! Food was awesome absolutely delicious. The service was brilliant & the staff very warm friendly & the right amount of attentive! After my experience I would definitely recommend

Arranged to meet some friends here for drinks. Quite clearly to start there were not enough bar staff on duty for the events they had going on that evening. We were abruptly told to sit down and orders would be taken at the table, which took over 45 minutes complete, despite two reminders. The male bar staff on duty were more interested in showing off their rather poor quality cocktail skills to younger females at the bar, who jumped the table service queue on at least two occasions and were served at the bar!!. No welcoming atmosphere other than with the receptionist on arrival. Fabulous venue let down by poor customer service. Will not return anytime soon.
