About the Business
home | Stitches | Cardiff | Stitches became an established business back in September 2010 and has recently been taken over by new owners in February 2017. We are located conveniently in Cardiff city centre, in the centre of the historical Wyndham Arcade. In addition to all tailoring, repair, alteration and similar services required for women, men and children, home curtain renovation is also provided.

Left rips on leather jacket. Paid and left but they didn’t even acknowledge their mistake or offer a discount. Very unhappy.

I came across this fabulous establishment during 2017.My husband had lost weight and his expensive suits needed to be altered.Jake did amazing work on his Hugo Boss suits and jeans.The workmanship is first class and prices very reasonable.I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

After using these guys for ten years, really disappointed and won’t be using them again. Spent £70 on altering three garments, but mistakes were made on all of them. A 1.5 inch waist expansion request, that should have been refused as not possible, turned out as 1 inch and a brand new pair of trousers were left damaged (pictured). Took items back but manager was dismissive from the start. Got a partial refund leaving me £40 down plus cost of a pair of brand new damaged trousers. Look elsewhere.

I’ve used Stitches to tailor any new jeans I buy and have used them for around 2 years.They’ve recently taken up my YSL, D&G and MK jeans which now fit me perfectly, with no issues or errors whatsoever.The staff are really accommodating and the wait time has been really good, ranging from hours to the longest being a few days.Price is really reasonable and I’ll continue to use them as my first choice tailor.Thanks to all the Stitches team!

I was really happy with the alterations to my bridesmaids dress and it fitted well. I asked if it could be ironed when I dropped it off, so it was ready to wear. But when I picked it up, it wasn't ironed and I had to ask him twice to iron it but it still didn't look ironed. So I took it and ironed it myself at home. As the cost was quite expensive, I didn't feel totally satisfied leaving the shop but was happy with how the dress fitted.

If you are looking for a tailor that will exceed your expectations and save your life within the hour then these gentlemen are the answer to your prayers!! Slaters sold my father a suit which did not fit him and I had to go into Cardiff on Sunday, buy a new suit and get it altered ready for a wedding on Monday. Sunday afternoon Stitches altered the new suit within the hour. The finish was perfect!!

I took seven pieces of clothing in: two pairs of jeans, one t-shirt and one jacket with rips in them; two shirts with missing buttons; and one shirt that required adjusting. All of this came to £40 and was done perfectly, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Couldn't recommend them highly enough. Will be my go-to place for alterations and repairs.
