Overall, it was a good experience.Quality of food exceptional. The menu is extensive and easy to understand. Meat was lovely. It was a bit expensive compared to other steak restaurants, especially the wines are very expensive and the chippest one wasn't available...clever!Service really really rushed!!! In one hour we finished our starters and main courses. It's unbelievable... we wanted to enjoy our night out but finished being a food race!!!The nice Ukraine waiter was very polite, but she was hard to understand because of her accent... she took the order, and after maybe 2 minutes, the starter arrived... same with the mains... We finished our starters, and the mains arrived after 5 minutes. It never happened before in a restaurant. I understand that they want to maximise the numbers of customers in a night, but in this way, you ruin the relaxing time out of them!!!Also, the classic negroni" that I ordered wasn't the best...cleary there was no martini rosso in it

My family and I dined at Gaucho’s last night for my husbands birthday celebration.Let me start by saying that the service is outstanding (if not a touch over-bearing) and the decor is pleasing, although a little dark. I wasn’t particularly keen on being seated so close to the door as we had a constant breeze of cold air blasting us on what was a very chilly night. My husband and I are also not massive fans of the bench-style seating that seems to pervade most restaurants now (presumably because it enables them to cram more people in), but it causes you to feel as though you are having dinner with complete strangers and it inhibits any sense of privacy. We had a couple sitting right next to us, and 2 men seated directly behind us on a raised platform whose lower bodies were aligned to my head.The food itself was perfectly fine, but we found the menu extremely limited when compared to our favourite steak restaurant in Cardiff (Pastures) and there are very few options for those in the group who don’t eat steak. In fact, the steak options themselves paled into comparison with Pastures offerings, if I’m being completely honest.Finally, this ‘mission creep’ American culture of adding a 12.5% discretionary gratuity charge to the bill is beginning to grate. We are very generous tippers but we do not like to be dictated if, when and how much we tip. Many of these companies do notactually give the service charge to the waiting staff anyway, but they rely on British people feeling too embarrassed or uncomfortable to remove it. Fortunately, my husband and I have no qualms about having it removed - and if the service warrants a tip, we place cash in the servers hand, which always garners a smile!

Lovely meal. Had a drink at the bar first and the bartender was very helpful. Our waiter was helpful and friendly. Steak Tartare and Argentinian sausages for starters and both were lovely. Ordered lamb cutlets and 500g sirloin steak for main. The steak was lovely and cooked as I wanted. But Lamb wasn't asked how we wanted and came out well over cooked.

The best steak I’ve ever had, service was amazing and we were kept up with drinks the whole time. I felt the dessert a little strong and that the alcohol could have been cooked off a little more but apart from that it was amazing. Our server Dom was so attentive and I could not recommend this place more, a little bit expensive but for good food it is worth it. Will be back soon, thank you Dom for making our anniversary special ❤️

Still a little new around the edges with service, but already a fantastic restaurant. Food was superb quality and staff were knowledgeable. On the pricy side but that's what you're going there for, the quality of steak was spot on. Would recommend as a treat.

Been waiting to go here and we finally did it. We went in for lunch during the week and was over the moon with the quality and value. You get so much on a set lunch menu. We will definitely be back one evening. Our waiter Simone was full of knowledge and extremely helpful.

Service was a bit slow to begin with (expected as its new) waited for drinks before being served by the manager. Food was fantastic. We visited in a group of 4. Selection of drinks limited but plenty of food to choose from. Would visit again.

Me and my mother visited on friday for lunch. Our server I believe was Valerie, she was absolutely lovely and gave us amazing service. Our food was incredible, and the set lunch menu was great value with the quality of food we had! Will definitely be returning

Some absolute great things about this venue. The steaks are superb and there is an excellent wine list to go with it. The service was faultless and we were all so well looked after and it was lovely to have a manager 'touch' our table (we assumed it was a manager as she didn't say otherwise!) It deserves five stars, but would deserve a full range of five stars with some attention to detail. The grasses outside look like they're dead, even though they're not and the tomato salad would have been better if it didn't feel like a tomato from Tesco's had just been sliced up. Would go back .

Amazing place I must say. The service is amazing. Always on top and helping us out. Furthermore the food was incredible and the best way to spend my birthday meal.
