Burrator Reservoir

Brilliant walk. We parked near the arboretum and did the whole circular walk. Only took 2.5hrs with a small picnic stop half way round near the dog exercise area (the only part of the walk dogs are allowed off lead near the resevoir).

I went here with my wife and a couple of friends. The hiking trail to reach there was amazing. We walked for about two hours to be greeted with this amazing views.I recently visited this location with my wife and a couple of friends, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. The effort we put into reaching this point was undoubtedly worth it.In addition to the stunning views, the location also provided a great opportunity for photography enthusiasts like us. We captured countless moments, each frame showcasing the natural splendor we were lucky enough to witness.Overall, our visit to this location was an incredible adventure filled with awe-inspiring beauty. The hiking trail leading us there was exceptional, and the views we encountered were nothing short of magnificent. I highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a memorable outdoor experience that will leave you in awe of nature's wonders.

Lovely walks.... We didn't follow a specific walk, just flowed our noses and enjoyed a good few hours exploring.Great for the dogs.Very quiet.There was an ice cream van (we went on a Monday)

Lovely area to go for a walk at any time of the year. We went in the autumn so there were lots of lovely colours in the leaves, but summer it's also nice to be by the water. There are several different routes you can take. Parking is quite limited though so would recommend going earlier if you want to get a space. There's a pub nearby as well that served food and drinks if you wanted to make a day of going for a walk and then for something to eat. There's no public toilets that close.

Beautiful warm day for October and a walk around the reservoir. Lots of people enjoying the area, pity about all the cars disturbing the peace.

It's a fantastic place to walk around, and especially with my wonderful lady ❤️ you get to feeling so close to nature ,it's very liberating with quite breathtaking scenery .

I made a video yesterday of My bus ride and walk to and around Burrator Reservoir. What a great walk on a hot June afternoon. It took four and a half hours from Plymouth and back. SA great escape.

Very beautiful and nicely kept. Amazing views. Complete the loop for a good day's walk. Bring drink and own food, only came across an ice cream van. No bins so bring a bag for your rubbish. Mostly level walk.

Good for a quick visit as it is just the reservoir there. On road parking, toilets available but very dirty when we visited in November. Ice cream van present, also selling hot choc. Nice views over the water and forest.

Makes for a lovely day out to do a loop in the area. There are some wild ponies around. The local history includes ex-prisoner town.
