I bought a wheelchair accessible car for my father. Mark and the team at Parkside couldn't have been more accommodating or helpful. After sales is second to none.Highly recommended.

I can highly recommend Parkside Motors Atherton for the purchase of a wheelchair adapted car. The staff, particularly Graham, were helpful, knowledgeable and patient whilst providing a service that was professional, competent and without pressure. I wouldn’t hesitate for a moment to use them again in the future.

Sorry about my username.I live near Great Yarmouth, my parked car was written off hence I was in a hire car. Spent the new year with my son in Preston and was on the lookout for a replacement.Found the perfect car just 20 miles away at Parkside Motors. I sent them a message asking if I could buy it and drive away that day (Wednesday) explaining I was only here for another 5 days.They phoned up within 5 minutes and were totally honest about everything, explaining that they need to service and MOT it first, and they couldn’t get it MOT’d for three days (Friday, and I am going home Monday) as their MOT place is full etc.They said they didn’t want to waste my time driving there if that was too long to wait, and obviously if I don’t want it, they won’t MOT it as they sell their cars with a full MOT.I said we would come and see the car.All I can say is that I wish more companies were like this one, it’s what I call old school service. People genuinely trying to do their best and help me.I loved the car (Peugeot 3008) and had a good test drive. The salesman (Graham) was superb. No pressure, no trying to get me to buy something I didn’t want, basically an old school business where they care.So, I wanted the car, but obviously if it wasn’t ready within 5 days, it would be no good for me.We came to an agreement (in writing), I say we came to an agreement, Graham suggest it it to me. I pay the deposit, he gets the car serviced and books the car in for its MOT (he ordered the parts for the service while I was there), when it’s been serviced they would take it to their MOT centre, and if it failed for any major reason ( something that isn’t instantly fixable), I would get my full deposit back. Again I had this in writing.They spoke to the MOT place again while I was there, explaining my situation, MOT place said that they would try to fit it in early.It was only MOT’d in August 22, but they insist on selling with a years MOT.Phoned me up Thursday to tell me it’s been serviced and past the MOT, I arranged to go there Friday morning.We went there Friday, (wife was with me to drive hire car), had arranged with hire car company to drop the hire car I off on the way back to Preston, we saw Warren, just as honest and nice as Graham was.We completed the sale, had it taxed etc, and had the keys/paperwork. The deal was done,I shook his hand, then I asked him where the nearest car wash was, as I had to wash my hire car before taking it back.He told me to bring the car into his yard, he then spent 15 mins washing my hire car, the car was gleaming. And he wouldn’t accept a tip. (Don’t forget, the sale was already completed at this point)That’s what I call service and I wish more other companies were like it.Dropped off the hire car, they inspected it, said it was so clean they could send it straight back out.If I could give them 10 stars I would.

Graham and Mark were very helpful and knowledgeable giving us lots help and advice to enable us to buy the perfect car as we had no experience or knowledge about wheelchair accessible vehicles. Very good established company

I bought a used Fiat Doblo from Parkside Motors a few weeks ago and I couldn't be happier with it.I was a nervous buyer, having had a couple if bad experiences in the past, but Mark made it a no pressure, stress free experience.Mark's years in the trade are apparent and his knowledge and patience really helped in making my decision.I have had to phone Mark with a couple of questions since buying the van and the after sales service has been fabulous, nothing is too much trouble.I would not hesitate to recommend this business.Jayne

We had the best experience with Graham at Parkside Motors. He was delightful, really made us feel confident and did not put any pressure on us whatsoever. Mark was also wonderful and made the buying process so simple and easy. As first time car buyers, we felt cared for and knew we could trust them completely. They really look after their vehicles and their customers!

I'm sorry to say that Parkside made a big mistake, cost me thousands of pounds, a cancelled vacation, and many hours over the next year. And - far from taking responsibility - they consistently tried to shift blame to me. I had gone in to look at a very particular 2016 van, and then paid a deposit on it. Parkside made the mistake of assuming a different, 2014 van was the one I needed. They said it would take weeks to get the paperwork done, so I waited... Then paid for a train up to Manchester. They turned up with the wrong van, and first tried to blame me, then talk me into taking it instead. Not only was it too long, a 2014 would have cost me the ULEZ fee every single day in London. When I asked for the van I paid for, they admitted they sold it another dealer couple days earlier. I eventually got a refund, had to buy it again from the other dealer for £2000 more, we had to cancel a holiday, I wasted money on trains back and forth across the country twice, and then I start getting photo penalty tickets from TFL in the mail for the wrong van! I had to contest and appeal tickets for the van I literally never even touched! And again, Parkside tries to shift the blame for this to me. They may reply to this review trying to shift things again, but this is all on them, and though I don't want to bother with it a solicitor told me that the details (I won't bother with them here) are pretty damning. If they'd just been contrite and taken responsibility for the mistake, maybe offered to help a bit, then it'd be water under the bridge.

No sales pitch, no pressure, just good advice. Mark and Graham....real gents. Professional, full of knowledge, and ready and willing to make your car just right for you. I can't recommend them highly enough.....7 stars would be right!Posting this 3 months on....absolutely delighted with our motor. Would recommend Parkside to anybody looking for a wheelchair-accessible car or van.
