Elliott House
My partners elderly mother has been cared for at Elliott House since last July, when her current home were no longer able to give her the care she needed. From the first visit we made, to collecting her belongings now that she is no longer with us, has been such a lovely, positive experience.Karen and her team of carers have showed the whole family nothing but kindness, and the house and facilities are second to none.I can happily recommend Elliott House, and congratulate them all.

I first saw Elliott House earlier this year as my family were looking for a place for our father diagnosed with dementia.. I have some experience of care homes as my Mother was a resident in a nursing home for 8 years. On my first visit to Elliott House, I actually got upset as the the difference from my previous experience was overwhelming. The actual home is beautifully decorated with lots of areas for the residents to occupy. A lovely garden area and the residents bedrooms are a very high standard. The dining rooms are perfect and the food is great with a good choice.... but above all the staff are wonderful. They treat the residents with such respect and care... and their entertainment ladies are brilliant. I feel so lucky and relieved that my Dad is here and I can't thank the staff enough, especially in these troubled times.. Pip

My mother is in Elliot House for the second time and I can’t speak highly enough of this place. The staff work so hard, they are fantastic! always creating a happy, positive atmosphere for the residents. The house itself is a beautiful building, bright, modern though still has character and spotlessly clean. My mom and the other residents are shown constant care, respect, kindness and love as they go through this chapter of their lives. Myself and my family can’t thank you all enough. Complete peace of mind. Thank you!

My Dad has been a resident at Elliott House for 2 half years. We visited lots of homes but Elliott House was the one that stood out for us. It is lovely and clean and very well kept. The management staff are always there for you to give you help and support with your loved ones. The atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming and it's the carers that stand out for us as they are so kind and caring to the residents with their individual needs, also the help and support they give each one. Lots of activities and entertainment each week and some lovely family days as well.Carole Mahon.

I cannot express how grateful I am to the staff at Elliot House. My father became a resident a couple of months before the original lockdown in 2020. To this day I can honestly say although it was a decision I never thought I would have to make, it was definitely the right decision for him to go and live there. The staff have always made sure my dad is safe and well looked after and entertained every day. Thank you!

My Aunt has been in Elliott House for just over a year now and she is very happy there. Staff are only lovely, very friendly and seem to genuinely care for the residents that live there. lots of activities going on. its kept very clean , beautiful garden out back. During the CoVid crises iv never had a problem talking to my aunt over the phone, staff are very helpful with that .

Elliott house is a brilliant place for your loved ones with dementia to live. They have a very experienced team they are kind, loving and caring. Karen the manager is the best she runs the home like clock work and has a very kind and caring nature . Everyone who visits the home are made to feel welcome. The home has beautiful gardens and the home is always clean and smelling nice . There are activities every day that suits all.The food is tasty and they have a wonderful dining experience it's like being in a hotel .the rooms are top notch. I would recommend anyone to go there if your looking for first class care. They are one big happy family and the atmosphere is brilliant.

My husband moved into this home 18 months ago, We have been very pleased with the care he has. They go out of there way to make him and the family safe and happy. It is always a happy place to visit at Christmas the home looks wonderful with lots of Christmas trees around and decorations. If there is anything to celebrate they do there bit. It was my husbands birthday in May they made him a cake and a small party. Well done to all. You have my thanks for looking after Brian so well.

My Nan spend around 4 weeks in the care of Elliot house (Restbite) due to nans dementia deteriorating to give us a little break..A number of incidents occurred at Elliot house while nan was in there care.Firstly nan was left in the room on the floor in her own urine ( a nurse from outside the home found nan in this dreadful state- pressed the emergency response button for help .. & nobody attended untill 10-15 minutes later.** THIS IS DOCUMENTED IN CARE PLAN BOOK**Secondly nan had a fall resulting in her head been split open due to being left on her own for long periods of time.A further fall occurred where she was found in her room which then resulted in nan having a T.I.A(Mini stroke)Ambulance attended and informed us as family that nan was covered in a number of finger bruises all up her wrists and arms - as the paramedics duty of care she raised a safe guarding issue against Elliot House ..After this, Sam ( the manager) called my mother whilst we was in A&E with nan to say she would have to terminate nans restbite as she had to think of the ‘reputation of her home’Sam was very rude to my mother and informed me (granddaughter ) that the police had been in to speak to staff at Elliot house which she clearly was not happy about , due to attitude & tone towards myself.
