DSS Rifles

This shop, also going by the names czrifles.co.uk and cz rifles uk sold me an Anschutz rifle with a MTC Viper 4-16x50 IRS scope. The rifle was sold as in mint condition with the scope attached.What I did not realised was that since the quality of the scope was not explicitly mentioned, this meant it was acceptable for the scope to be pretty badly damage, according to the shop owner.The scope had suffered some pretty bad scratching in a previous life (see photos) and was very difficult to use, with pretty much no re-sale value.As the shop was unwilling to replace the scope with one of similar value, approx £270 (I was offered a used scope who's retail value was less than a quarter of the value of this scope, less than £70) I had to settle for a £40 refund - hardly a good outcome, but I felt I had to cut my losses unless I wanted to go over the admin of getting an FAC variation etc.I'd be very cautious of buying any used or second hand equipment from this outfit.
