Whittington Care Home in Chesterfield

I am a registered nurse and worked an agency shift with Amy and Karla absolutely fantastic girls knows all the patients very well, helped me out where needed and made my shift delightful. Would work with them again in a heartbeat. Lovely shift.

Whittington care home is situated in a very nice place, very clean, neat and tidy. Staff very good in all aspects such as care, behaviour and support. Main attraction is the ground floor lounge where everybody gather in the morning till the evening. This gathering make everyone happy

As an entertainer myself and my partner visit several homes on a weekly basis. We have had the pleasure of entertaining at whittington on a few occasions and I have to say it is a pleasure. The staff are attentive and professional. The residents are very well cared for. There is a lovely caring loving attitude from the staff I have talked to a lot of the residents and they have all said they are happy and looked after there. Obviously you get an idea of the type of place you're in when you are going around to different ones. This is definately a very good home. In my opinion.

Very good home

Most vile place I’ve ever been. Not welcoming at all, muck all over, confrontational staff. Pots left on the side in various places. Faeces dried up on sides of beds. The room we went in for respite had old fashioned decor with broken handles. Just overall not a nice experience. Had to contact CQC about their standards as I felt awful for the patients there. Also pictures on website absolutely nothing like the room we where shown in fact the complete opposite
