David Bull Optometrists

I’ve been a client of David Bull Opticians ( Leightons) for several years now. They really are superb in every aspect, very thorough eye tests and fantastic customer service. Best opticians I’ve ever experienced

I would absolutely recommend Bulls, especially for children. My son is only 5, and he can be very quiet and shy. Mr Bull was just fantastic with him, so patient and knew just how to talk to him. I was nervous as to how reliable my sons responses would be, as he’s always been checked via dilation at the hospital before, but Mr Bull didn’t rely on his responses at all and checked everything very thoroughly with very sophisticated looking machines, so I’m very confident in his prescription. And Mr Bull was so patient with him when he struggled to stay still through some of the tests. The chair moves up and down, as do the machines so my son being tiny wasn’t an issue at all. I will definitely actively be recommending Bulls to any parents whose children need eye tests.

This place is wonderful.From making the initial contact via telephone for an appointment, right through to collecting my glasses, the whole experience was great ,it was done very professionally and care was taken to make you feel safe and comfortable during these difficult times.Thank you so much and look forward to seeing you all next time.

I have found that the practice uses the latest equipment in order to provide the most comprehensive examination. Mr Bull and his staff are always welcoming and courteous. I have lived in other parts of the country and have had many eye examination at many different opticians and can say that this is the best experience I have ever had at any of them.

Cannot fault the service I have received over the years from David and his team.Having recently been diagnosed with Glaucoma (by a company unconnected with David Bull) I was less than reassured by their advice as to what my options were. In a bit of a panic, I asked to speak to David, who very kindly agreed to see me at short notice, retested my eye pressures, and arranged to see me a month later to check them again.I can say that although it is confirmed I do have Glaucoma, the help and advice I received from David has reassured me totally. He helped explain my options, and I'm very happy to recommend his services to anyone.

After ordering some sports protective glasses for when I am riding my MTB, which the staff was most helpful with I was informed there was a 2 week lead time…..unfortunately due to Covid etc I did not receive my glasses till a few weeks after the time given. However the staff at David Bull kept me updated on progress and continued to chase the company up on my behalf. Once they came in Hannah booked me in for a fitting and wavered the rest of the cost! Which was a pleasant surprise as this was not their fault, great customer service by the state and Hannah! Whole heartily recommend this optician and will not go anywhere else now! These people are genuine. They offer a service that cannot be compared to anything else. Today they made me, in a turbulent and difficult world, welcome. This approach to my visit was not born out of profit but a deep desire to do right by their most treasured asset . . the customer! Having had a problem with my transition lenses Mrs Bull" ensured i received top priority service. And the service was delivered in abundance by Karen who attended to my most difficult needs. David Bull is a professional amongst professionals. He and his staff are attentive, courteous and above all considerate of their customers’ requirements. Communication is relaxed and supportive always putting one at ease, especially when there are difficult issues to discuss. I've been going to David Bull for about 10 years now. The service is excellent. If the annual test says I don't need specs they tell me, so they are honest. I now have new specs due to both eyes having had cataracts operated on over a 5 year period and the two weren't focusing! The new specs are fantastic.
