At the interim thing we were dealt with professional integrity ,from the moment the very thoughtful gentlemen collected our loved one from our home,but from then then things went wrong as the lady at the office fell ill ,this couldn't be helped I know but there was no cover so progress was delayed for 3days we couldn't even get clothing delivered for our loved one to be dressed in, but the worse issue was that we had a 1hr viewing to say our final goodbyes but the elderly lady dealing with this was exstreamly abrupt and rude complaining about waiting for family members to arrive and making us feel very uncomfortable and trying to rush us out so she could shut up the office ,but I must say that the people who collected and drove our loved one to her final resting place, could not have been nicer or more compassionate and considerate to the way we were feeling and I must say our family won't be using s/r child's again

Excellent service from Nicola and William...Dad had a great send off..all our wishes were dealt with dignity and respect..

S&R Childs took all the worry and pressure off me for my late husbands funeral.Nicola from Abingdon was so caring and made all the arrangements for me and went above and beyond, she kept me informed of how everything was progressing, I couldn't of wished for a better or more professional company to help me during a very difficult time.

Thanks to Nicola for everything you did organising my Dad's funeral. The Order of Service was lovely, the flowers were beautiful, the photographic tribute was very nicely arranged, William was so respectful when paging my Dad up the road, Hedley did a wonderful job and spoke so sincerely on the day. It was actually a lovely funeral and the family is very grateful for all that you did before, on the day, and afterwards.

In the past two years I have lost my son and husband both times we have used a&r childs, Nicola is so kind and understanding and caring , from arranging the funeral to the service it self , both were managed with care and love . Nicola was at the end of the phone if I needed to talk , aftercare was wonderful phoning to check we were all ok

We sadly lost my father in law recently and were amazed with the level of help and support we received initially from Karen and later from Lee. Karen advised us in a very friendly and caring way on what little touches were available to make the day as he would have wanted. Lee was the funeral director on the day and took great care of all of the family and friends, going out of his way to ensure my mother in law was well supported. Thank you to all at S R Child's for helping our family at a really difficult time with such empathy.
