We had a lovely walk with the dog on Easter Sunday. Usually go to Trentham gardens as its closer to us. But 5he wonders and inspiration here are amazing. With the pool of doom, as I've named it. An area with felled trees in the water covered in green moss, absolutely inspirational. Unusual ducks and no massive fences. I love the old bricks, the folly, the bridges.

A lovely walk, with plenty to see birds, wildlife etc.Good paths there is free parking but no public toilets. There is no cafe so it is advisable to take your own food and drinks, but over all a good free day out and it's dog friendly.

What a beautiful place, the carpark is free and has a good amount of parking, does get busy and there are lots of people with dogs off lead so if you have a nervous dog may be a consideration, there are plenty of routes and walks around the reservoir with lots to see, some great scenery and makes for fantastic photos, there are lots of birds too who seem to love to pose! Well worth a visit

This country park walk is another area right up there as one of my local go to" places if I'm wanting a calm and relatively easy walk. I can't believe I only found this place out last year being so close to my home (12 mile round trip) I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys this type of walking. It's pretty much level all the way around both pools (main reservoir and top fishing pool). Remember to take wellies or appropriate footwear though if visiting out of dry seasons. It can get a bit muddy around the top pool during rainy and autumn/winter times.Parking facilities (main car park) I'd say somewhere between 30-35 car parking spaces available here with ease of access to the main walking routes.Terrific view of the reservoir and the walking trails are top class. Enjoy until you heart is content. Beautiful place
