Newly re-opened with new owners. Lots of young keen staff, very friendly and happy atmosphere. Food okay but quite pricey for what you get. Was probably one of the coldest nights of the year but it was cold there, a lot of people had coats on. Very clean, better than I remember previously. Still a lot of local custom.

The food is on another level, stunning... If you have a plan to go out for food anywhere, you will not go wrong.. Staff are wonderful, couldn't do enough.. Fabulous

Fantastic pub in the heart of a village with a great atmosphere, you don't feel like an outsider here at all. Combining modern decor with a traditional pub feel and 'twining' that in with the rich history of the village's involvement in the twine-making industry.At around £3.40 for a pint this is by far the best priced pub in the area, and the food continues the trend of quality at a great price, I don't know how they manage it, especially considering how fresh the food is, I believe all the meat is also sourced from the local butcher.They handled Covid regulations fantastically and kept everybody safe at such a tough time. This establishment is a real gem within the village of West Coker.

Nick is a great Landlord and all-round friendly and nice guy who has turned everyone's favourite pub into a gem!Food is great, prices are even better. My new hot-spot in the village!

The food was ok. Very basic and nothing local. It was incredibly over priced for what you get. No presentation on the table. Images on their Facebook are very misleading. Drinks were expensive in comparison to other pubs locally. Parking was impossible. We normally eat at Lord Poullet Arms which it’s cheaper but the service and food is another level in comparison. I wouldn’t return.

First visit here...lovely pub and the staff were very friendly. The food looked great although we didn't eat this time. We will be going back.

Lovely warm welcome. Keenly priced which is a blessing in these times. Log fire as soon as you walk in and met new friends. Thanks to Nick and his team. Cannot wait for the food to start. We will be back very very soon.

We visited during the seafood festival, food was delicious and very well presented, good selection of cider and pub was family friendly. Highly recommended.
