Barking Mad Coffee & Cakes

Well worth a visit when down at beach for a walk. Owner & staff welcoming & friendly. Food is lovely. We don't have a dog but enjoy seeing them being treated like VIP's at this dog friendly cafe.

Fantastic cade right across from the beach.Has a doggy menu too with things like scrambled egg..doggy sausage..rice abmnc chicken or beef and only £2 to £3.Lovely staff customers and dogged.Will b our new coffee stop x

Unique experience to eat surrounded by well behaved puppies and dogs, staff were reasonably friendly and quick to serve me.Drinks were good and served in cute cups, food was nice, nothing spectacular but if you are interested in good views and being able to see dogs or sit with a pet - this is the place for you.

When I first started taking my pet Labrador to Barking Mad,I found the coffee,tea and food is great, i also found the staff made you and your dog(s)feel very welcome.Barking Mad also has an area , that can be closed off for you and your dogs if necessary.When you visit the beach boulevard in Aberdeen I highly recommend you give it visit.

Very impressed. My wife, son and I visited this morning - lovely atmosphere, great food, very good wheelchair-accessible facilities. We couldn’t bring our miniature dachshund this time but definitely next time.

Brilliant idea poorly executed. I love to give great reviews but unfortunately this time I simply cannot give a positive account. The idea behind the cafe is brilliant, there is even a menu for our 4 Legged companions. After arrival and ordering food (a toastie and jacket spud) and drinks. The drinks and scrambled eggs for our dog came straight out, fantastic. But having waited over half an hour for the toastie, we thought they had forgotten us. Went back to the service point to enquire, only to be told there was only one person in the kitchen. Unfortunately we had to ask for a refund (only for the undelivered food) and left. This place could be an absolute gold mine, but having customers taking up a table for such a long time without being served their meal, the turnover must be shocking. Sorry for the poor review, but it is truthful. The person in charge needs to step aside from the kitchen and employ a professional chef who can deliver meals promptly, this would undoubtedly save the business and earn them a deserved high review.

Went with my friends and their 2 dogs. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The food was good. I had a bacon roll which had a generous portion of bacon in it and my friend had a very generously sized slice of delicious cake. They gave the dogs treats as well. Would definitely go there again. Would recommend

Took our 3 spaniels along for a wee treat after some fun on the beach. They had the chicken and rice, decent sized portion and they loved the attention. Great idea for a cafe. Milkshakes were yum too.
