Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel

About 45 of us stayed here for a meeting and overnight accommodation. Every single member of staff I encountered were just outstanding. Customer service is absolutely spot on. Nothing was too much trouble. Both lunch and breakfast were excellent- really great quality.

Cleaning service is horrible--cups wiped out rather than replaced/washed... There was still lipstick and tea on the outside of a cup one day. Sinks/tub not washed out. Tea service not replaced fully/properly.Our training had nearly 50 guests staying here, and to a person there wasn't a good comment on the hotel... From cleanliness yo heating issues. Mold on windows, peeling paint, dirty walls... It's just shabby. I'd not mind that quality had I paid for that quality, but I didn't pay a Travelodge price.

Perfect location, next to the trams. Had a lovely time at a work event held here. Service was fast and my server Chloe was excellent, great personality, efficient and always smiling despite having to work so fast paced. Will definitely be back!

Right by the tram which was great, food, not so great but the staff are amazing! I lost my key and couldn't even remember my room number as it was a group booking, Raj on reception was so kind and help me out, I felt so silly but he made me feel better! Great concierge!

Community Health Partnerships Christmas do. All the staff were extremely attentive and professional. Food was excellent too. Must mention the bar girl, I believe she has only recently joined the team. She was super helpful. Thank you all

Great location near the train station. My first room when I arrived the door was not fully closed, 1 bed side light didn't work, no telephone and the heating didn't work. I had to ring the hotel from my mobile and they said they would bring heaters, that never happened. I went down to reception where they were very busy but helpful and they switched my room to one that was nice and warm. From other guests at the hotel I found the heating wasn't working in most rooms. The toilet paper was the cheapest thinnest stuff you can buy. The rooms are pretty shabby with marks on the walls etc. Breakfast was OK. Everyone complained about the lifts, 3 lifts and it took forever to get anywhere.

this was a good one nights stay, location was perfect very central. Breakfast was excellent. The lovely lady on reception made me a wonderful, skinny decaf flat white. My only complaint was the hard pillows, I would have liked a softer one.

Had our Christmas do here, fab food, Great Location and so well looked after. Tom (floor manager) is the nicest man ever, always with a smile and nothing is too much trouble & Anna & Chloe were fab as well. Considering how many emails we sent beforehand, it's gone perfectly and everybody said what a lovely time they'd had. Thanks so much, made our Christmas do brilliant <3 (The view of the Christmas markets is something special as well)
