Very happy with service! My car broke down with trailer attached, whilst at the recycling centre, staff very helpful and understanding. Offered to make me a cup of tea whilst waiting for recovery and even let me leave my trailer there to be picked up at a later date, as recovery could not fit it onto their vehicle! Very helpful staff! Thank you so much!

Went today. The staff are unhelpful and get in the way.This time a house clearance / recycling guy was there stood next to the bins, hanging around and looking in people's car boots for 'sellable' items.How is it the public cannot take items to reuse and recycle but 1 person gets a monopoly?He could At least help people who look like they are struggling...

This is a council recycling centre that is able to accept most recyclable items other than flexible plastic. Appointments are required, and these can only be made on the dedicated website, which would be a disadvantage for anyone without access to the Internet.9th January 2023. Following the helpful update from the site owner, it is useful to note that anyone without access to the Internet can telephone for an appointment. I may well use this facility in the future, so thanks for letting me know.

Amended a booking, however, when I visited this site it wasn't showing on their system, place was very quiet, staff said I wouldn't be able to dump the stuff as no booking for my vehicle showed on their system. No wonder fly tipping has increased so much in the area!

Booked a visit but inadvertently put the wrong date. Jobsworth told me to drive through. I thought he was being unreasonable. He said all the machines were broken; clearly not true. Then another worker, who was quite aggressive started to lay down the rules. Very unhelpful and difficult staff that clearly need customer service’ training. I can see why some people flytip given my negative experience. Come on Stroud CC, sort this place out.

Had a booking yesterday with a load of chipboard. I am disabled with my badge on display. The parking operative beckoned me to a bay far away from the wood bin . I asked him because i am disabled could i wait for a space nearer the wood bin. He bluntly said it is what it is ?. I had my grandsons mother with me to help. We did manage to move to a bay 2 bays from where we were . We eventually managed to empty the car . The operative seemed more interested in saving what people were disposing of and placing items in a area with other goods. Not impressed.

Why are there no late nights? There used to be pre pandemic. I work long hours and weekends you're always closed when I could get to you or fully booked. 4pm! Closing if you're filling your bookings then maybe there needs to be at least one later night. My garden is filling up with stuff and my council tax includes a recycling centre that I can never get to so frustrating

Brilliantly organised and the staff so obliging.I have made a number of visits during the past month as I am downsizing. The booking system is fantastic, on every visit I was able to park infront of the itemised bins.Recycling centre of the year as far as I am concerned.Well done all of you involved.
