Queens Park Bowling & Tennis Club

Not the exclusive Club it was in the past. One bowling green dormant. One playable and their 'large' green very heavy and unenjoyable. Membership reduced but still friendly. Always good hospitality.

Have been going to the tennis for just a couple of weeks and it's very enjoyable. My mate and I are both 60,.so it's great to get a bit of excercise. It's also good that if someone doesn't turn up for their booking, then you can stay on for a bit longer.

We had our wedding party here. We did not have very high expectations, knowing we would have to decorate and make the place really nice ourselves - which is completely fine and to be expected. However, I was very disappointing with the lack of hospitality.From the get go staff were quite unfriendly. I pushed my event forward when asked, just by a few hours to accommodate a bowls meeting, which ended up going on right up until my wedding party started. Literally a minute before. The back room where I needed to set up the food was full of rubbish and I had run around in my wedding dress tidying up after the previous group.Every few minutes during the decorating process I was told I was not allowed to do A B or C. One of the staff continued to misgender my friend calling her “young lad” then “girl” then “he” to the point where she felt like he was doing it on purpose. We were being very friendly and respectful of the space but made to feel uncomfortable for no reason.At the end of the night we were kicked out with zero warning, no last orders and I was given 15 minutes to get everyone out and clean up. Even though the email I had from the venue said we had to be out by 12, we were locked out at 10.45.In any pub it’s half an hour but for some reason I felt like I’d a gun to my head on my own wedding party at the end of the night. I get that staff want to go home, but there is a way you can end the night on a more positive note surely. This venue has the potential to be fantastic but is let down by the staff unfortunately.

I attended an evening event on 13/8/22 here, what made it a fantastic experience was the gentleman working at the bar who went above and beyond to make my son feel welcome, he totally made the night!! Thank you!!

I recently attended a Divine! club night in this venue.It's got a well stocked bar and a great wooden dancefloor.Perfect for getting drunk and dancing.

Don't bother booking a function here. Shut the bar at 11pm on a Friday night, with no 'last orders' as they had made their money and wanted rid of us. Male member of staff was very abusive to the clientele.

We had our wedding reception at Queens Park Bowling Club on 22nd September and honestly can’t recommend them enough! The venue is absolutely stunning and the staff are amazing (shout out to Mary & Frank!) We couldn’t have asked for any more it was such a good night and they really looked after us!! Everyone kept saying that it was the best wedding reception they had ever been too! I would 100% recommend QPBC for any events/parties!

Was at a birthday party. Asked to leave at 10pm as had teenagers. Apparently not allowed to have children in after 10pm. Would not serve anyone at the bar they knew had children with them after this time. No-one was advised of this, the staff were rather rude about it not apologetic at all. Even lifted unfinished drinks which we told them to put back down. Do not book a function here if you inviting children - left by 10.30pm

Venue OK. Staff need to learn how to deal with paying customers. Very rude with no interest in customer service.
